We recently connected with Sara Naheedy and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Sara thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think in order to be successful, a person needs to be open to feedback from others and constantly curious as to how they can improve. I think many people fail because they are rigid in their mindset. If someone is not open to different ways to get to a particular goal, they may fail because they are not open to other paths to obtain the goal. I think being flexible and open are two essential elements to being successful. I also think that a person needs to be open to feedback from others. Whether it is the people that we work with or the clients we serve, I think it is essential to give and receive feedback from the people around us in order to be successful and to constantly improve.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I became an attorney because I want to help people navigate the overly complicated and stressful world of law. I have always been fascinated by the law and became an attorney to help empower others. I typically help my clients through stressful situations when things have already gone wrong. In those situations, I act as counselor to guide them through the steps needed to bring resolution to their situation. What sets me apart from others is my ability to relate to and understand my clients on an emotional level. I use my understanding of psychology to help my clients through whatever legal situation they need help with.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I think networking with like minded professionals has been the most effective way that I have been able to grow the firm’s clientele.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I met my business partner through networking. The first time I met her I knew she was different from most attorneys and people that I met. She was bold, bright and forward thinking. I instantly gravitated towards her energy and knew that I wanted to be on her team. I chose to get to know her through a separate initiative from the law firm, and saw just how powerful her mindset and problem solving abilities were. I knew I wanted to be business partners with her and I approached her and asked her if we could build a law firm together.
