Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sara Cox. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sara , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you share an important lesson you learned in a prior job that’s helped you in your career afterwards?
One of the most important lessons I learned came from my early experiences working in various medical office jobs, mainly in reception. I witnessed firsthand how prices were often inflated—sometimes to get the most out of insurance companies, and other times directly at the expense of the patient. It never sat right with me. Seeing how common overcharging was made me realize how strongly I value fairness and integrity in care.
That experience shaped the businesswoman I am today. Now that I run my own practice, I have the freedom to set my prices with intention—keeping them fair, and adjusting when needed to support clients or families in need. My motto, “holistic care at affordable prices,” grew directly out of those early realizations. I believe healing should be accessible, not reserved for those who can pay the most. I don’t gatekeep and I don’t believe in squeezing people for every penny. I simply want to share these powerful, natural tools with as many people as I can.
Ultimately, those jobs taught me a lesson I’ve never forgotten: never do anything purely for the money. Let your work be about purpose, connection, and making a difference.
Sara , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My journey into holistic health began with my own personal health challenges. Like many, I felt disheartened by conventional approaches that offered little clarity or lasting relief. It wasn’t until a dear friend introduced me to natural healing that everything changed. That moment sparked a deep curiosity and passion in me—a desire to explore alternative medicine not only for myself, but eventually for others seeking the same hope and healing I had found.
As I immersed myself in this world, I discovered a profound sense of purpose. I realized that natural, non-invasive methods could truly change lives, and I felt called to help others navigate their wellness journey with support, compassion, and integrity.
Today, I offer natural health consultations and bio-resonance scanning, both remotely and in-office, to identify underlying imbalances and provide personalized support. In my office, I also provide a variety of holistic therapies—including red light therapy, terahertz frequency, PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field), ozone treatments, and more modalities coming soon. Each offering is designed to support the body’s innate healing abilities in a safe, gentle, and effective way.
What sets me apart is my commitment to making holistic care both accessible and personalized. I believe healing should never be a luxury or a one-size-fits-all approach. I operate with a strong belief in fair pricing, transparency, and putting people before profit. I don’t gatekeep knowledge—I share what I’ve learned because I genuinely want others to thrive.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my clients and the transformations I’ve witnessed through this work. Whether someone is just beginning their wellness journey or seeking support where conventional methods have fallen short, I strive to be a grounded, empowering guide. My mission is simple: to help others reclaim their health naturally and discover just how powerful their own body truly is.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start?
I was able to save money from my previous job before leaving to start my practice. After that, we adjusted our monthly expenses to live comfortably on my husband’s income alone while I focused on building the business.
In the early days, there were definitely times when finances felt tight, and I considered taking on a part-time job or working one day a week elsewhere to bring in extra income. However, whenever those doubts arose, I allowed myself to fully feel them, then turned inward—using meditation, positive affirmations, and energetic practices I had learned to shift my mindset.
Each time, those practices helped me regain confidence and clarity. Almost inevitably, new clients would schedule appointments for the coming week, providing just enough income to cover our needs. Over time, this momentum grew steadily and is leading to my practice gradually becoming the primary source of income for our family.
This experience taught me the power of patience, faith, and aligning my energy with my goals while remaining practical and adaptable along the way.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the most important lessons I had to unlearn was the idea that success comes from working nonstop—grinding all day, every day until you’re completely exhausted. For a long time, I believed that pushing myself to the limit was the only way to get ahead. But I eventually realized that this approach is harmful to both our bodies and our long-term goals. The saying “slow and steady wins the race” isn’t a cliché—it’s essential wisdom.
When I worked in office jobs, my entire workday was focused on efficiency—getting people in and out quickly, completing as many tasks as possible, and meeting my boss’s demands. While I thought I was being productive, all it really did was leave me burned out and disconnected from the deeper purpose of my work.
Starting and running my own practice required me to unlearn these habits, which were shaped by corporate environments that often lack genuine investment in their patients’ well-being. Through embracing a more compassionate and mindful approach, I learned that truly serving others means being fully present and attentive to their needs.
Letting go of the “grind” mentality was transformative. It allowed me to create a sustainable practice where I can thrive personally and professionally, and most importantly, care for my clients in the thoughtful, attentive way they deserve.
