Sara Ashley, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Being successful means that you’re always in student mode. Always stay curious. You can be an expert in your field, but if you aren’t open minded to new concepts or cooperating with others in your field, you’re not going to be around for long. When I was a high school teacher, our leadership team reminded us we are life long learners. I’m always listening to podcasts, reading books, and having discussions with other Astrologers. There’s always something new to learn. Passing on those insights to my clients so they can understand their own soul blueprint is priceless.

Sara Ashley, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Before I became a professional Astrologer, I was a special education teacher for 13 years. I was excited to come to work everyday to build those connections with my students and see them thrive. During the pandemic in 2020-2021, we taught online, which made it difficult to create bonds with new students. It was especially difficult to assist students online with special needs. My best friend suggested to me that I could start offering my Astrology readings online to fill the void. I hesitated at first because the world of social media turned me off. Once I began offering Astrology readings, it was amazing to see how healing the sessions were for my clients. When I began to see repeat clients, it was also so fulfilling to see their growth. Not many people are aware that Astrology isn’t just a predictive tool, it’s a guiding light to your soul’s path and purpose. Astrology also helps you understand aspects of your personality, what kind of relationships you’re drawn to, your trauma patterns, the main challenges you’ll face and the strengths that you have to overcome them.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

Being your authentic self. Don’t try to water down your personality. The Law of Attraction will bring people who are on the same frequency and vibration into our lives, the same goes with clients. Don’t be afraid to share your story, no matter how messy it is. Be vulnerable. Clients aren’t looking for perfection, they’re looking for someone they can relate to.

Have you ever had to pivot?

At the beginning of my journey, I walked through every open door. That was not a good idea. Quite a few people asked to collaborate with me and invited me on their platforms that had vastly different views and morals that didn’t align with my core values. Many of these connections ended badly because our intentions and messages were so opposed. One person created an online smear campaign about me when I posted a video that triggered her, even though the video wasn’t about her. The theme of the video was centered on Astrologers and Tarot readers who use their tools to gossip and spread rumors about others. It was clear to me from that point on to say no to opportunities that weren’t in agreement with my core values.
