Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sanyukta Bhonsle. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sanyukta , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
Yes, I currently manage my own social media for my personal brand, @espressowithsan and that’s a very intentional choice. My page is more than just a feed; it’s a visual diary of my life in New York City, where I capture the moments, places, and moods that inspire me from art and fashion to cozy cafés and spontaneous street style. It’s my way of documenting how lifestyle, design, and storytelling intersect in real life.
With over years of experience in content strategy, art direction, and brand marketing, I’ve learned how to grow a presence that’s both aesthetically strong and community-driven. Managing my content myself allows me to stay close to my voice to be thoughtful about what I post and why. For me, it’s not just about posting consistently; it’s about posting with clarity, intention, and joy. That’s something I believe resonates most with people, especially for early-stage and founder-led brands where authenticity is everything.
Outside of my personal platform, I’ve led content and strategy for brands like Samantha Siu New York, where I directed and produced campaigns across all channels including our spotlight moment during London Fashion Week 2024. I also covered Threads of Tech at EDGE NYFW 2025, where I created real-time content featuring trailblazing brands like Coachtopia and Rent the Runway, and helped amplify conversations around sustainability and tech in fashion.
I’ve also contributed to high-visibility campaigns, including the YSL Beauty Showcase at Bloomingdale’s, where I supported event media execution and content strategy to elevate in-store engagement. Most recently, I served as Art Director and Graphic Designer for Sierra Hotels Times Square Billboard, where I led the creative direction and visual design to ensure standout brand visibility in one of the most iconic advertising spaces in the world.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’ve always been drawn to how stories shape the way we connect with the world whether through a well-framed photo, a short-form video, or a campaign that sparks emotion. That curiosity led me to start my own personal brand, @espressowithsan, where I document my daily inspirations: coffee shops, fashion moments, art galleries, and the little details that make New York City feel like magic.
My path into this field hasn’t been linear. I began at 17 doing motion graphics design but I was always naturally pulled toward the social side of things. Over time, I’ve worked across industries and disciplines, from art direction and content creation to influencer strategy and digital campaigns. What’s stayed constant is my passion for building brands that feel personal, purposeful, and visually magnetic.
I’ve had the opportunity to lead social media and creative strategy for brands like Samantha Siu New York, where I helped bring our London Fashion Week campaign to life. I’ve supported influencer collaborations and event storytelling for YSL Beauty at Bloomingdale’s, and I art-directed a Times Square billboard for Sierra Hotels Hoddies one of those surreal career moments where your work literally lights up the city skyline.
But what I truly love? Helping brands especially founder-led, early-stage, or creatively-driven ones find their voice online. I see social media not just as a marketing channel, but as a living, breathing extension of a brand’s identity. I focus on creating content that’s thoughtful, trend-aware, and rooted in strategy but never at the expense of authenticity.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Absolutely. My creative journey is deeply tied to growing Espressowithsan into something bigger, better, and more impactful. What started as a personal outlet has evolved into a space where I capture and share everyday beauty from coffee shop corners to spontaneous art moments and fashion finds. Right now, I have a lot of exciting plans in the works, from new content series to potential collaborations.
A lot of my inspiration comes from simply wandering around the city. Bookstores, museums, cozy cafés these places fuel me. There’s something about the way New York breathes art into its everyday rhythm that keeps me curious. Whether it’s a quiet gallery corner or a beautifully designed coffee cup, those small moments remind me why I create: to document, to express, and to share what moves me.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I started building my audience by simply sharing what I loved coffee moments, artful corners of the city, and fashion details that felt personal to me. At the time, I wasn’t chasing trends or numbers I was creating a visual diary. Over time, people connected with the authenticity, the mood, and the consistency of my content. That’s when espressowithsan started to grow into a community.
And when it comes to corporate social media marketing, one of the most important things I’ve learned is: listen closely to your boss or founder. Ask thoughtful questions, observe how they talk about the brand, and pay attention to what excites them. Over time, you’ll start to understand their vision, voice, and values which is essential for translating that into content that feels aligned and intentional.
My biggest advice? Build a strong sense of your own brand identity. Know what feels true to you, and post content that excites you and social media for a brand isn’t just about trends it’s about capturing the essence of the brand in a way that resonates with both the audience and the leadership behind it.
