We recently connected with Santina Proctor and have shared our conversation below.
Santina , appreciate you joining us today. What’s the best advice you ever gave to a client? How did they benefit / what was the result? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
The best advice I have given to a client is that an enabler and a support system are two different things. My client was struggling with being taken advantage of by a family member. I helped her to identify who she was as a person and how to set boundaries. She went from being a crutch to becoming a woman that proudly set boundaries, didn’t allow the boundaries to be crossed guilt free..
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I got into the industry by aligning my life with God’s plan. I began writing at the age of 12 and I have been helping people navigate through life as long as I could remember. Beginning at the age of 7 with my brother once our mother passed away.
I provide a judgement free zone for women to transition from who they are to where they want to be by cultivating a growth mindset through coaching sessions and my life changing books. “It’s Already Yours Go Get It” book and journal along with my 14 day devotional, “It’s Not A Vacation, It’s A Lifestyle.”
What sets me apart from other coaches is my life experiences and academic knowledge. I combine both to provide structure and empathy for each client.
I am most proud that I learned how to leverage adversity. I live by the motto that things didn’t happen to me, but they happened for me.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele is providing quality effective service. Word of mouth is my number 1 marketing tool.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My mother passed away when I was 7 years old. By the age of 35 I had no parents or grandparents, served in Operation Iraqi Freedom where I was sexually assaulted, was on my second marriage and mothering 2 children. Throughout life I chose to keep going by becoming a licensed practical nurse & an educator. I found that God is my anchor and with Him I can do anything.
