We recently connected with Sandtereia Robinson and have shared our conversation below.
Sandtereia , appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I knew that I wanted to pursue a artistic path professionally when I took it upon myself to write my first song “Too long” I was dealing with a lot of emotions around this time. Regarding wanting to be successful, wanting to be in a better position in life, as well as give back to my family and others.
Sandtereia , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Sandtereia & I am 25 years old. I am a very artistic and a creative woman of God. What lead me to get into my industry was the urge to inspire the world, truly wanting to make a difference, and wanting to give back to the world. At a very young age my parents discovered that I had the gift of song, and since about the age of 9 I’ve grown a deep passion for music, fashion design/styling, and currently modeling. In order to do any of these things though I’ve been positively forced to grow mentally, physically, & spiritually to stay focused and obtain discipline. Gratefully I’ve also been able to meet and work with people that inspire me, help me gain more confidence, be myself, and grow every day; which is another reason why I keep going. I’ve also reached the point in my career, where I feel as though it’s amazing to stay true to yourself, and be unique. Having faith, being humble, and being me sets me apart from others, and the “pushed agenda.” On my social media accounts (@sandtereia) you will be able to also see who “Sandtereia”really is whether its by being serenaded musically, learning new ways to be creative in fashion and styling, or simply learning new poses and gaining knowledge. As of lately I’ve been in the process of rebranding my image, and displaying new growth in hopes that it inspires others along their journey. Ive also fallen in love with the symbolic meaning behind butterflies and hearts which is growing and to vibrate loving energy which is apart of my new aesthetic and personal journey.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Along my journey of being a successful artist/creative I’ve had the pleasure of reading “Think and grow rich”, “You’re a bada** at making money”, and taking the time to listen to powerful videos highlighting topics on financial literacy, giving back to the community/ecosystem, wealth and fitness, gaining confidence, attracting what you want, meditation, self-love, and self-care.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
In my personal opinion, I believe in order for true artists and creatives to be able to reach success there should be more ways for us to be heard such as; radio time, public events, or even on social media like free sponsorships especially if you’re upcoming artist. I believe there should also be an expansion on the topics that are displayed musically that are currently being pushed, there should be more music that is positive, brings people together, helps us change the world, and not separate us a whole.
