We were lucky to catch up with Sandro Marchesin recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Sandro thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Crazy stuff happening is almost as certain as death and taxes – it’s technically “unexpected” but something unexpected happening is to be expected and so can you share a crazy story with our readers
One of the most challenged and craziest stories I can share is when we were tasked with creating 23FT marble table designed by Sir Norman Foster. The crazy part was that the tabletop had to be one piece of marble! At the time, the process to create a 23FT table, made from a single piece of marble, was unknown.
We extracted a 30FT long block of marble from the quarry, which was a challenge in itself, then we had to fabricate the table without any breakage.
I knew I needed to form a team of engineers, stone experts, and fabricators that would be crazy enough take on this (almost) impossible task with me.
My dream team was up to the challenge!
Three months after getting the sketch from Sir Norman Foster, the 23FT marble table was ready to ship to its final destination.
Sandro, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
A native of Treviso, Italy, Sandro developed a yearning to create custom design pieces nearly 25 years ago. Since then, Sandro has created numerous custom pieces in collaboration with designers, celebrities, and renowned architects including Sir Norman Foster, Frank Gehry, and Peter Marino.
Sandro is also passionate about advocating for children struggling with illness and disease. As a longtime supporter of the Miami Children’s Health Foundation, he donates, organizes and participates in year round activities to promote access to quality pediatric healthcare.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I make it my priority to help my clients achieve their goals. I work as a member of their team as opposed to just a consultant and I believe this strengthens the bond. I believe this is one of the main reasons I have so many long term clients.
