Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sandro Costa. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Sandro, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?

One of the items that I think really sets us truly apart from other small business audio production companies is the experience of being a professional musician sitting behind the Audio console. You have some truly brilliant audio engineers out there, but if they don’t understand what the musicians are looking for on stage, and what they want to hear, it’s sometimes difficult to understand that without having that musical background. We also pride ourselves in attention to detail throughout the entire event. Every song is different, every vocalist is going to express himself or herself differently with that microphone or musical instrument, it’s my job to make not only the Musician feel confident and sing and perform with emotion, but having the audience feeling captivated in the moment and feel the music.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Music venues are always a highlight in my travels. Spending time with family and friends at these and wonderful restaurants is always a highlight. Some really good Portuguese, or even Italian food is always on my mind. Love going out to the coast and spending some time out there just soaking in the environment, listening to the ocean is always so therapeutic for the soul.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

My mom & dad have always been big supporters of my musical talents as well as my audio engineering desires. My wife and daughters have also been big supporters as well and I really couldn’t ask for a better support system than all of them at my side. I think it also goes without saying that ALL the bands and artists I have worked with throughout the years also deserve a lot of recognition and love. They trust me every time they hit the stage, knowing that they get 110% dedication and attention at every show.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

I feel the most rewarding aspect is seeing the sheer joy of working with such extraordinary musicians when engineering their audio. They don’t have to worry about “how it sounds” because they trust my experience and knowledge to make them feel confident and comfortable on stage, which in turns gives the audience a better experience. I love what I do, provide artist and bands the best possible audio experience at every level.
