We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sandra Heard a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Sandra thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

What I think it takes for someone to be successful would have to be two things faith and determination. You have to know and believe that you will be successful. You have to have a different mindset then what you may be use to. And you always have to have determination while on your journey to success.

My name is Sandra Heard. I am a model as well as a college student who attends the university of West Georgia. I am a print model which is a model that is used for billboards, advertisements, magazines and many different types of publications. What sets me apart from others is my drive to keep going. In this industry you can be at a standstill however you must have the faith and the determination that you will be where you want to be if you keep going and remain focused.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Something that helped me build my reputation is my social media platform such as Instagram as well as my TikTok. By posting my modeling pictures as well as vlogging what it’s like in the day of the life as a model and college student, it helps my brand. It also helps people to see how I juggle both being a model and a college student.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

A lesson that I had to unlearn was that it is way more to being a model then just being pretty. It is hard work and long hours. There have been days where I have had multiple shoots within one day. Modeling is just like any other job you must be on time and you must be dedicated to your job.
