We recently connected with Sandi Crosby and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sandi , thanks for joining us today. Was there an experience or lesson you learned at a previous job that’s benefited your career afterwards?
The importance of experience. No matter what happens it is the experience you offer someone that matters. How were you made to feel? For me my clients deserve a personalized luxury experience from start to finish, no matter the price point they are in. It’s the details we add when we know the stress of a transaction gets high and we can remind our people we are there for them and will get through it.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into real estate because I wanted to be educated enough to purchase my own properties. During our first real estate transaction, we were not necessarily deceived, but we did not have enough knowledge to know how to best represent ourselves and coming out of that experience, I wanted to make sure that, anyone I knew could come to me, knowing what kind of education they should have going into the process. I never thought that real estate would be my full-time career, but there is so much joy in helping people find that special place for certain time in their lives. I don’t like to ever say helping people find their dream home, because the dream to me is always evolving, and a different points in our lives. What we think is forever can suddenly change, so it’s good to keep a loose grip on where life can take you.
I truly believe what sets us apart is the fact that we actually care more than the average person. My desire to operate with integrity above all else leads to decisions that I know not, everyone would agree with, but it is always about what is best for my clients.
I am focused on always developing myself first, so I can be the best version of me in order to be the best for those I work with and support.
My goals for my real estate business are to develop a small team of powerful agents with similar core values that help support the dream of home ownership and generational wealth in a community and with people that may not think it’s possible.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Having integrity and always doing right by people. My job is not to sell anyone on anything. It is to present fax and up-to-date analytics in order for them to make the best decisions. By doing this people feel empowered and secure as they explore the possibilities of homeownership.
When people like, know, and trust you- it leads to brand loyalty and that is how I have grown my clientele base over the last several years.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I think in an industry as competitive as real estate, it is really difficult to stop yourself from comparing. There have been times where business has been slow or I see someone doing some thing that I think I should be doing and I’ve questioned my worth or ability as an agent. But in those moments, I have remembered coaches, who have told me that my level three cannot be compared to someone’s level 23.people who have been in the industry for years, are going to have so much more knowledge and first-hand experience that I am continuing to learn.
It has also led me to get really clear on what brings me joy in my offerings to others, because if I am passionate about it, it’s going to translate the best to my community. I love giving back, taking care of my clients in special, unique ways, and creating special experiences for those in my personal sphere and with my clients.
When I stick to my core values, and what I want to offer those around me, it helps me stay grounded, no matter what my business looks like at the time.
