Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Samya Mohamed. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Samya, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you needed to find a key partner or facility – how did you find them, what was the process of striking a deal like and what would you do differently knowing what you know now?
When looking for my next collaboration, I generate a list of brands/partners I’d like to work with and then I generally find the email contact through their website or social media.
For me striking a deal usually starts with an introduction email, maintaining a simple but clear message on my concept idea for the collaboration. What I started doing differently is being more personable and honest with the type of partnership I am looking for. I’ve learned that the brands are most likely to reply when I am genuine and open with my content concept and how they will benefit from my collaboration.
Initially, how I found my brands when I started was lots of online searching, word of mouth and networking. I went with them because I felt the brand’s mission was relatable to my interest and style. I believe the brands worked with me for the same reason they do now: transparency on the collaboration and providing content concept ideas that fit the brands overview.
Here are a few lessons I’ve learned from my experience.
Email has a better response rate VS social media. You can find most brand content on the customer service page of their website.
Preparation is key! Prepare your portfolio or media links you’d like to share as content examples. If you are new to this and don’t have existing collaboration work to share with the brand, create some content examples ahead to share as a use case. Last but not least, following brand guidelines for post date and content they prefer additionally confirm with the brand if they want to approve your content before posting. If you enjoy the brand and wish to work with them again I highly recommend maintaining a good relationship with them by following up after your post and letting them know that you are open for future opportunities.
Finding long term collaborations that you can use everyday help gain more revenue by using your affiliate links or discount codes rather than your one time post. Current partnerships I use in my daily lifestyle.
MoneyLion app: I enjoy this partnership for a few reasons, leveling up my education on the importance of “Money” and Providing tools that help me reach my goals, such as Access to financial offers like credit building, investment options, etc. Easy banking for my daily use. And my favorite tool of all is the video content they offer such as, “Money Huddle” with Austin Hankwitz, talking about all things money And “No Stupid Questions with Brandon Copeland to name a few.
Cellucor, C4 Energy & Xtend: I have always been a fitness fanatic but never had the courage or confidence to publicly share my experiences until I partnered with these amazing bunch! You can always find me with either one of these products daily if not all of them as it changed my perspective on my workout routine and maintaining proper hydration.
Michael Todd Beauty: Providing me with the best skincare tools I need to keep my skin feeling clean and flawless in my overwhelming busy creator life.

Samya, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I gradually dabbled in the industry by helping friends with business content and really enjoyed using my creativity in this way so I decided to pursue it full time.
Maintaining discipline and treating your business like an actual business helps create more structure and goals which will hold you accountable in accomplishing them.
Overall I provide brand awareness from my visual perspective, whether that’s creating content, hosting an event or reviewing a hotel or restaurant my goal is to always create a fun atmosphere or content that captures the proper attention and audience for that partnership.
What I found helpful when solving brand problems is working closely with the brand and building brand awareness by identifying the brand’s purpose of the collaboration. This typically helps target the proper audience and/or sales they need for potential growth.
Understanding the brand/product/partner you are working with is vital, to me it’s not just a gig. What sets me apart is being personable, remaining transparent and open about what I feel comfortable doing.
Sharing my content concept before they ask and delivering appropriate content that represents my style and the brand’s mission as a whole.
Building long term relationships have led to better collaborations for me which I’m proud of most. But also Sticking to my morals and values is another type of discipline I pride in having.
Not following trends and styles just to get more views but keeping the focus on the purpose of the content and the audience I want to attract.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I have been Pro NFTs for years now. Blockchain is legendary and Certified ownership and authenticity is valuable to me. I think NFTs offer a unique way for creators to capitalize on Special content while gaining experience on the future of our digital life. Investing in tokenized assets is accessible to everyone which makes it really cool. Asset ownership that is tokenized into an NFT can more easily and efficiently be transferred among people anywhere in the world. Very excited to work on My own NFT which comprises interesting made looks, each look has a topic and is possessed by one person, whose proprietorship is recorded on blockchain. My foundation is currently being facilitated by “CALAXY” While on “Calaxy”, it’s giving me the right to have a say and proprietorship locally which will be made conceivable by Blockchain. I personally feel that “Calaxy” is the simplest, generally real and solid path for me to associate
with my fans and transform myself into a commercial center.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
