We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Samuel La’ Von Jackson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Samuel La’ Von below.
Alright, Samuel La’ Von thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
My debut album, “C/O ’23” A lot of passion went into this piece of work. The 11-track effort served as the most proper preamble to my professional musical career, showcasing my ability to construct masterful melodies paired with my use of thought provoking lyrics. The project received a lot of attention locally, opening doors for me to perform as a special guest in various school events across the district and many live shows throughout the city of Houston, Texas.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a creative, originally from Lufkin, Texas. I found my passion for music early and since then I’ve been able to see and experience things, places, and people I would’ve never came across had it not been for music. For me, the ability to first create a piece of art through a release of emotions and memories from past and present experiences, then to use that art to connect with others and allow them enough space to make your art their own is such a divine experience. It’s a spiritual exchange for sure. I’m most proud of my strength through the process. It hasn’t always been a journey of understanding. There are times when I still face uncertainty but I keep my faith strong because I can always remain certain that God has already made a way. I keep in mind the bipolar nature of life when creating I do my best to connect with souls from every walk of life in a positive, uplifting manner.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative, in my opinion, is being able to express myself and my ideas in everything I do and have people truly vibe with me based off that.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I want to leave a legacy. I want what I’m doing now to live past my lifetime. My brand “The $pade Movement” will by gift to my future generations. Every move I make these days is with longevity in mind. I have a clear vision of what this foundation will uphold and I’m comfortable with the fact that my lifetime is the period in which said foundation is constructed.
