Samuel, appreciate you joining us today. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
My business intentionally diverges from traditional custom or hourly design services by offering clearly-defined, productized subscription packages. Instead of ambiguous timelines and hidden costs, clients get unlimited design requests, predictable monthly pricing, and fast turnarounds—something uncommon in the creative industry.
Additionally, my brand integrates AI agent workflows directly into our creative processes, automating routine tasks and increasing efficiency. This approach helps clients see tangible value immediately, and it frees up creative bandwidth to focus more deeply on strategic, high-impact design.
For example, we’ve transformed businesses’ marketing workflows by automating their content creation and social media scheduling through customized AI agents. Clients love knowing exactly what they get each month, the clear boundaries around deliverables, and the innovative use of technology that makes the process faster and more transparent than traditional agencies typically offer.

I’m Sam Diaz, the founder behind Lightpointe Design and Conexian.ai, where we’re rethinking how businesses interact with design and automation. As a multi-disciplinary creative, I specialize in offering productized design and AI automation services, focusing on helping businesses streamline their processes and elevate their creative output.
At Lightpointe Design, we provide a subscription-based service where businesses get unlimited design requests for a flat monthly fee. This means no more worrying about hourly rates or unpredictable costs. We focus on giving our clients the freedom to request designs as often as needed, without the stress of wondering how much each task will cost.
Conexian.ai, on the other hand, is all about integrating AI into business workflows—especially for marketing, internal operations, and client interactions. We’ve developed AI agent workflows that simplify complex tasks, automate repetitive processes, and ultimately help businesses scale faster and smarter.
What sets me apart from others in the industry is my commitment to offering real, tangible value through simplicity. Have you ever had to pivot?
One of the most significant pivots in my career came when I decided to move away from working for others and pursue building my own businesses. I had spent years working in various design and creative roles, gaining valuable experience, but I reached a point where I wanted more control over my own work and direction.
I wanted to create something that aligned with my passions—something that didn’t just allow me to design and create, but also gave me the freedom to leverage the technology I love, like AI, to streamline processes and offer unique services. That’s when Lightpointe Design and Conexian.ai were born.
Making the leap wasn’t easy. There was a lot of uncertainty, especially as I transitioned from having the security of a paycheck to the unpredictability of entrepreneurship. But what kept me going was the belief that I could offer something different to clients—productized services with clear, tangible value that would simplify their workflows and help them grow. I also saw AI automation as a game-changer in the way businesses operate, which inspired me to build Conexian.ai to bring these tools into the hands of other business owners.
Ultimately, this pivot allowed me to build the businesses I always dreamed of, where I could put my skills to use in a way that felt authentic and purposeful. The challenges along the way only reinforced my belief that taking risks and pivoting when needed is crucial to growth, both personally and professionally.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has definitely been referrals and LinkedIn. I’ve built a strong network of connections over the years, and word-of-mouth from happy clients has brought in a lot of new business. Referrals are particularly valuable because they come with built-in trust, making the conversion process smoother.
Additionally, I’ve had great success using LinkedIn’s Sales Navigator. It’s a powerful tool for reaching out to businesses that align with my services, and it allows me to connect with decision-makers directly. I’ve leveraged LinkedIn not just for lead generation but also for building genuine relationships and establishing a presence in my niche. It’s a platform where I can easily showcase my expertise and offer value, which makes it a great avenue for attracting clients who are looking for innovative design and automation solutions.
