We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Samuel Alix a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Samuel, thanks for joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
When confronted with crucible moment during my military career, the option to trust God or go with status quo, I selected faith rather than mainstream, and as a result, walked into my true destiny and calling. It required sacrifice and soul searching, but no regrets. Peace, tranquility, hope, wellness, healing, and love resulted.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
CHAMP was launched from our personal journey post Iraq War. My wife Kayla and I experienced overwhelming uncertaintanty in the veteran space and felt called to use our personal journey as motivation to bring solutions to others with similar needs and experiences.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
In building a team, CHAMP’s philosophy has been Servant Leadership. We lead from the front, We believe in empowering others to achieve their highest selves. We believe in setting the example from not mere words alone but in deeds.
Also, attending Peer Support Training with MVPN in Texas and being trained in Dr King’s philosophy of nonviolence and peace level II at URI, has enabled CHAMP to have effective leadership, sustaining programs and global impact. Our philosophy is Agape Love in Action.
