Alright, Samantha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

All through grade school I have always choose to take an art class as an elective. I absolutely love the process of coming up with an idea and then bringing it to life. Painting, drawing, photography, you name it and I’m down to try it! Being a bartender, crafting cocktails is one of my current favorite artistic outlets.

Samantha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My partner Vianca Arias and I have been a bartending duo since 2012. Our chemistry behind the bar is what drove us to create our Thirsty Bartenders YouTube channel. We wanted to share our knowledge of bartending to others while also making them laugh! I think that’s what sets us apart from other bartending/mixology channels, We don’t take it SO SERIOUSLY. Making cocktails should be fun and I think our videos are very funny and entertaining.

You can count us for a great cocktail recipe and many bartending tips and tricks! If you are a bartender/mixologist, we have many videos that will help you learn everything you need to know to be the best behind the bar.

What some people may not know is that we also work with many liquor/bar related brands to create fun content for their social platforms. We know our stuff and we are very passionate about beverage photography. Creating beautiful cocktail and product videos is what we do best!

How did you build your audience on social media?

Be consistent and stay up to date with trends! I don’t think all of your content should be “trend jacking” but this will definitely help to get more eyes on your content. I enjoy finding a fun reel/TikTok trend to hop on! But, it’s important to put your twist on it to make it on brand with your content.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

Superman’s by Pat Flynn is a great book for someone trying to build a following. It helped me to establish an even more special connection to some of the people who follow and subscribe to our content. He gives highly actionable advice and ends each chapter with an exercise to give you a chance to implement what he taught. Highly recommend it!
