Samantha , appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

Makeup artistry has always been more than just a career for me it’s been a calling. I grew up surrounded by the beauty industry, with both of my grandmothers as cosmetologists, one specialized in hair, the other in nails. Some of my earliest memories are sweeping hair in a New York salon, completely immersed in the world of beauty.

My love for artistry began with painting, but it naturally evolved into makeup at a young age. I started experimenting with makeup around 11 years old, and by the time I was 15, I knew without a doubt that this was my path. I had fallen deeply in love with the transformative power of makeup—not just in how it enhances beauty but in how it makes people feel. The ability to help someone see their own beauty, to boost their confidence, and to create moments of empowerment through artistry was something I knew I was meant to do.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

From a young age, I was inspired by my grandmothers to pursue a career in cosmetology. The moment I became licensed, I immersed myself in the beauty industry, freelancing across Las Vegas, curating a thriving bridal clientele, and collaborating with renowned photographers to build my professional portfolio. My work quickly gained recognition, earning placements in various publications—even gracing a Las Vegas hotel billboard.

A defining chapter in my journey was working with MAC Cosmetics, a dream brand of mine, where I spent over seven years honing my artistry. I later expanded my expertise with luxury houses such as Chanel and Dior. While retail makeup provided an incredible foundation, I felt called to do more—to reach beyond the beauty counter and connect with a larger audience. That’s when I began creating beauty content on YouTube and Instagram, building an inclusive community where individuals could feel empowered to explore makeup without intimidation.

What truly sets me apart is my ability to create a safe and welcoming space for people to learn and grow in their beauty journey. I specialize in simplifying techniques, breaking down artistry in a way that’s approachable and confidence-boosting. My goal is to uplift, educate, and equip my clients and audience with the right products and tools to achieve their desired results—helping them feel radiant in their own skin.

Reflecting on my career, I’ve been fortunate to experience extraordinary moments. Representing a beauty campaign as a plus-size, middle-aged woman was one of the most profound highlights of my journey. Being flown to New York by Clarins to lead a masterclass on skincare, collaborating with brands like Haus Labs, and meeting Selena Gomez through Rare Beauty have been dream-come-true opportunities. Beyond social media, I’ve had the privilege of working as a celebrity makeup artist, glamming clients such as Pia Toscano (American Idol), Nilsa Prowant (Floribama Shore), and renowned pinup model Sabina Kelley. Additionally, I’ve had the honor of beautifying hundreds of Las Vegas brides, ensuring they feel their most confident on one of the most important days of their lives.

No matter who sits in my chair—whether a viral sensation or the mom next door—I believe in celebrating the unique beauty of every individual. Through my journey, I hope to inspire others to chase their dreams, proving that it’s never too late to pursue your passion and make an impact in the world of beauty.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding part of what I do is having the privilege of doing what I love while making others feel beautiful and confident. Whether it’s a small boost in self-assurance or a transformative shift in how someone sees their own beauty—inside and out—it’s an honor to be part of that journey. Beyond makeup, I emphasize self-kindness, grace, and the importance of embracing every step along the way.

What truly fulfills me is sharing my own journey in a way that inspires others to be bolder in theirs. If my story can encourage even one person to step into their confidence and see their own beauty in a new light, then I know I’m doing exactly what I’m meant to do.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I built my social media community with consistency and genuine dedication. Every single day, I showed up with content that excited me, sharing my passion for beauty with my audience and hoping it resonated. The moment TikTok granted me access to go live, I seized the opportunity to connect on a deeper level—slowly, but surely, building an online family.
I committed to going live every single day for a year and a half. During those hours online, I engaged directly with my audience, answering questions, experimenting with makeup, and fostering real connections. Showing up consistently allowed people to get to know me beyond the makeup; it built trust, familiarity, and ultimately, a true sense of community.
Authenticity is everything. When people feel they can rely on you—not just for honest reviews and expert advice, but for your energy, enthusiasm, and personality—you create something far more meaningful than just content. You build relationships. You become a voice they trust. And that’s the real magic of social media: showing up, being present, and cultivating a space where people feel seen and valued.
