We recently connected with Samantha Ramirez and have shared our conversation below.

Samantha, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

Ever since I was younger I’ve had a passion for helping people. Leaving a meaningful and impactful influence on their life. I grew up in sports and carried that passion for my health and fitness into the gym once I entered high school. Knowing i wanted to create a great impact on society I began to come up with ideas on how I can get started on this goal. Knowing the athleisure industry is a bit saturated and there was a lot of competition I began to think of ways I could make my company stand out as i wanted to start my own brand. This is when I came up with the idea of creating a brand that provides high quality sports wear for half the price these companies have. Incorporating the idea of empowering people around the world to show up as their best self, and show up for themself every day.

Samantha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I started Empower with the idea of bringing high quality sports wear to the industry with the goal of creating a community where everyone supports one another. Empower sells athleisure wear designed for comfort and maximum performance. We focus on confidence and mentality. I am most proud of the community and products i’ve been able to put out there and create.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

I was able to fund my business by working multiple jobs and saving enough to put down on inventory and starting cost.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

Building relationships and customer service.
