We were lucky to catch up with Samantha Mirallegro recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Samantha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
When I started my first business, Samantha Digital, my goal was simple: help small businesses grow online through web design, SEO, and branding. Over the years, I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of businesses—everything from local service providers to creative entrepreneurs. While I loved the variety, I started noticing a pattern: the businesses that saw the best results were the ones in industries where strong branding and online visibility were non-negotiable.
That’s when I started thinking about niching down. I wanted to focus on an industry I not only understood but also felt connected to—one where I could make a real impact. As a 2024 bride and someone immersed in the creative space, wedding photography felt like the perfect fit. Wedding photographers don’t just need a website; they need a brand that speaks to their ideal clients, an SEO strategy that brings in inquiries year-round, and a digital presence that helps them stand out in a saturated market. I knew I could help them do exactly that.
That realization led to Ever & After Studio—a brand built specifically to serve wedding photographers with web design, SEO, and branding. The process of launching it mirrored how I built Samantha Digital, but with even more strategy behind it. First, I studied the wedding photography market—understanding their pain points, their struggles with website design and SEO, and what was missing in the industry. Then, I built the brand—choosing a name, refining the messaging, and creating a website that reflected the level of quality I wanted to deliver.
Since SEO takes time, I prioritized it from the start, optimizing my site, structuring my content strategically, and making sure I was building long-term visibility. Now, as I continue growing Ever & After Studio, the next step is expanding my content strategy—leveraging YouTube, social media, and educational content to reach more photographers and provide value upfront.
Building a business isn’t just about having a great idea; it’s about execution. For me, that meant studying the market, setting up a strong foundation, and committing to visibility strategies that would fuel long-term success.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Samantha Mirallegro, the founder and creative director of Samantha Digital, a web design, SEO, and branding agency that helps small businesses grow their online presence. More recently, I launched Ever & After Studio, which focuses specifically on wedding photographers who need a strategic, high-converting online presence.
My journey into this industry started with a passion for digital marketing. I launched my first business, a food blog, in 2020 and quickly realized how powerful SEO and website strategy could be in building an audience and driving traffic. That experience led me to dive deeper into web design and search engine optimization, and in 2022, I founded Samantha Digital to help other business owners harness that same power.
Through Samantha Digital, I’ve worked with a variety of businesses—local service providers, creative entrepreneurs, and e-commerce brands—all with one common goal: to get more traffic, leads, and revenue from their websites. My approach is highly strategic, combining user experience, SEO, and strong brand messaging to create websites that don’t just look good but actually convert visitors into clients.
As I worked with different industries, I realized I wanted to niche down into a space where I could make the biggest impact. That’s how Ever & After Studio was born. As a 2024 bride, I understand how deeply personal and competitive the wedding photography industry is. Photographers aren’t just selling a service; they’re selling an experience, an aesthetic, and a connection. A beautifully designed, SEO-optimized website is a game-changer—it allows them to attract dream clients and book out their calendars without relying solely on social media.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Referrals have been the most effective strategy for growing my clientele. Happy clients naturally share their experiences, bringing in highly qualified leads who trust me from the start. Delivering great results, providing a seamless client experience, and maintaining relationships keep referrals coming. Combined with SEO, this has helped me consistently attract ideal clients.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Pivoting from Samantha Digital to Ever & After Studio wasn’t about leaving one behind—it was about doubling down on the industry where I knew I could make the biggest impact. While Samantha Digital continues to thrive, I saw an opportunity to specialize in web design, SEO, and branding for wedding photographers. Instead of being a generalist, I wanted to create a brand that directly spoke to photographers’ unique challenges—helping them attract dream clients and book out their calendars. This shift required refining my services, rebranding, and building a new online presence while still running Samantha Digital. It’s a big move, but one that allows me to serve my clients even better.
