We were lucky to catch up with Samantha Lopez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Samantha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you take vacations? How do you keep things going – any advice for entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away from their business for a short vacation?
Yes! I have to, I love to travel! This past year has been my busiest year thus far, so I haven’t done much traveling. I have had to pass up Greece and Italy, But I do plan to take a vacay before the year ends!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
My name is Samantha Lopez. I am a realtor at COMPASS with Team AZIZI and I specialize in helping clients buy and sell homes all over San Diego County.
I started real estate in 2017 working under one of the most notable real estate agents ( now broker), – Erika Borunda. I was fortunate enough to learn the basics of real estate from her and the significance of client management. Although I don’t currently work with Erika anymore she is still a great friend and mentor.
Rather than customers I have found a community in my clients. A community in clients that I have been lucky enough to be able to avoid having to use any paid lead services which I think is a testament to me and my partners. They have helped me take my business to the next level this past year. Two people specifically; my team lead, Miss Sonia Azizi and my partner Aldo Avila. Sonia has instilled confidence in me I didn’t know I had. Without knowing she is constantly pushing me to get to the next level and radiates positivity. Aldo handles everything on the back end of my deals. He allows me to be in two places at once, makes sure I am organized and helps maintain client management. Without these two, I would not be able to do what I do, successfully.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
My best source of obtaining new clients is Cold Calling. I was taught by the wonderful Richard Elias, and 95% of my clients come from cold calling. It is not for everyone, but it works for me. No matter how busy I am I always make time for my calls. Find your niche and what works for you and give it 100%!

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I am close with all my clients, they always start off as clients, but ALWAYS turn friends. I mean, real estate is one of the biggest transactions you will make in life! When clients choose me to advise them for this transaction I want them to feel comfortable and know I will do everything in my power to make sure they are getting what they want and the transaction goes smoothly. We talk and text all day everyday for months, so of course we become friends! When the transaction is complete I stay in touch throughout checking in quarterly and of course during the holidays & birthdays!
