We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Samantha Gropper a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Samantha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
As a new mom, I had little guidance when it came to pumping and feeding, and I know how overwhelming that can be. That’s why I created Mama of All Trades—to reach as many moms as possible and help them feel confident, whether they’re working, traveling, staying at home, combo-feeding, or anything in between. My mission is to provide access to education and support so you can feed your baby in a way that works best for you—without pain and with total peace of mind. No matter where you are in your journey, community is at the heart of everything we do.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Samantha Gropper, a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor and the founder of Mama of All Trades. My journey into this field started with my own experience as a new mom. Like many, I was overwhelmed and had little guidance when it came to pumping and feeding. I struggled with figuring out the right techniques, and it was a lonely process. That experience lit a fire in me to ensure other moms wouldn’t have to go through the same challenges alone.
Mama of All Trades was created with a mission to reach as many moms as possible, whether they’re working, traveling, staying at home, or balancing a combination of all those roles. I provide personalized consultations, workshops, and educational resources designed to help moms feed their babies in the way that works best for them—without pain, with confidence, and with the right support system.
What sets my brand apart is the focus on practical, real-life support. I’m not just here for textbook advice—I’m here for the moms who are managing it all while still trying to be the best they can for their babies. I offer guidance on everything from pumping routines and travel hacks to managing oversupply and finding the right tools like wearable pumps. I also prioritize building a community where moms feel seen, heard, and empowered in their journeys.
I’m most proud of the trust that moms place in me and the messages I receive from clients who finally feel confident and in control of their feeding journey. Whether it’s helping a mom return to work while still feeding her baby or guiding someone through the transition to combo-feeding, my goal is to help moms reach their goals, whatever they may be.
At the core of everything I do is the belief that every mom deserves to feel supported, educated, and confident in her choices. If there’s one thing I want people to know, it’s that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone—there’s a community here ready to back you up.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has definitely been referrals. There’s something powerful about moms supporting other moms, and I’m honored that many of my clients come through word-of-mouth recommendations. When a mom finds solutions that genuinely work for her—whether it’s overcoming challenges with pumping, navigating breastfeeding while working, or managing oversupply—she naturally wants to share that with others. These personal connections and stories are invaluable, and they’ve become the foundation of how I’ve grown Mama of All Trades. Being trusted enough for someone to refer me to their friends or family is something I don’t take lightly, and it’s one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my audience on social media was a mix of sharing my real, unfiltered journey and connecting with moms who were going through similar challenges. I started by documenting my own experience with breastfeeding and pumping, from the struggles to the wins, and it quickly resonated with others. Moms could relate to the real-life messiness and the practical tips I was sharing, and that’s what drew people in.
I didn’t set out with a big strategy, but I focused on being consistent, engaging with my community, and staying true to my mission. I posted regularly, shared useful content, and made sure to respond to every DM and comment. I also made use of stories, reels, and live sessions to build trust and show up as someone moms could lean on. Over time, those genuine connections turned into followers, and followers turned into a community.
For anyone just starting out, my advice would be:
Be Authentic: People connect with realness. Share your story, be yourself, and don’t feel like you have to be perfect.
Consistency is Key: Even if you don’t have a big audience yet, show up regularly. Consistency builds trust and keeps your audience engaged.
Engage with Your Audience: Social media is a two-way street. Reply to comments, answer DMs, and interact with other accounts. The more you connect, the more people will want to stick around.
Offer Value: Whether it’s tips, advice, or a behind-the-scenes look at your life, focus on providing value to your audience. Ask yourself how your content can help or inspire someone.
Find Your Niche: It’s easier to build a loyal following when you have a clear focus. Know your niche and speak directly to that audience.
Social media is all about community, so focus on building relationships, and the growth will follow.
