Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Samantha Gregerson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Samantha, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
The biggest life changing risk I took was when I decided to go full time with my freelancing business. Ever since I was 15 years old, I always had a job where I was guaranteed a paycheck week to week. I knew I was going to get paid as long as I showed up and did my job. When I had started by own business, I was still working full-time as an employee for a company; but then my own business started to take off and it started to be too much work for so little time and I knew something had to change. The amount of stress and anxiety that came with that decision was overwhelming though! I kept thinking, what if I go on my own and the projects from clients start to dwindle? What if I won’t make enough money to support myself? What if…
The thing that convinced me was telling myself that I know how to put in the hard work, dedication and time – all I need to do is prove that and show people I can help them to the best of my abilities and God will take care of the rest. I still have that thought process to this day and I am very thankful to say my business is still helping people!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been fascinated by art and design. I still remember the moment I realized I wanted to start drawing when my father had shown me some of his drawings he did when he was stationed during his time in the Navy. From the age of 11 all the way up to pursuing my Associates in Arts degree in college, art was always a passion. To shorten this story up a bit, I eventually decided to go back to college for Marketing and Design, got the opportunity to gain work experience in the field establishing a business from the ground up and 2 years later, I took the leap to go on my own journey and do exactly that for other small businesses.
My business services include web design, SEO/AEO/GEO implementation, brand design, graphic design and pretty much the whole package for businesses to get established both online and in real world!
The main thing I want people to know is that I truly believe that America runs on small businesses and I know firsthand how much time, effort and hard work it is to run your own business. That’s why for every client that decides to work with me, I provide exactly that for them; because I never want to see a small business not succeed.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Always try to be one step ahead. Do the research, take the classes to learn more, ask questions from other connections in your field for guidance and portray that in the work that you provide! I will always try to help my clients as much as possible and the thing for me and my business is that I’m not focused on how much money can I make. I’m focused on “What can I do to help this business/person, and how can I do it?” and then I make it my mission to do exactly that.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I can’t take every project presented to me. I learned that lesson very early on starting out. With the stress and anxiety of not being able to support myself and my business, I took on every single project that was presented to me without worrying about the amount of time and effort that would be put into those projects. I had more than 10 different clients all at the same time trying to keep up with all of them and instead of the stress and anxiety of not being able to support myself, I gained a new level of stress and anxiety of not being able to provide my services to the best of my abilities in a timely manner for my clients. Then that led to burnout and to top that off, I was going toward the direction of failing my clients.
Needless to say, I have learned my lesson and keep my workload manageable. If I know that I don’t have the time and effort for that client, it’s okay to say that and provide other recommendations for those clients to look into!
