Samantha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you manage your own social media?

I currently manage my personal and business social media accounts, with plans to invest in assistance in the future. My choice stems from a commitment to authenticity and meaningful connections. By engaging directly with my audience and treating each follower as an individual rather than just a number, I’ve built genuine relationships that drive engagement and growth. This personal touch has been key to fostering trust and loyalty.

One significant lesson I’ve learned is that authenticity resonates deeply with people. Investing time in creating personal connections has been more effective than simply posting content. As I look to expand, I plan to ensure that any future support aligns with this approach, maintaining the genuine engagement that has been central to our success.

My advice for others is to cultivate a unique brand voice that reflects your personality and passions. Don’t shy away from showing who you are—people connect with the person behind the brand. If you have the resources, hiring help can be valuable, but it’s essential to know how to manage key aspects yourself.

My name is Samantha Davis, and I’m the co-founder of Tru Vibez & Btru2u—brands that embodies my multi-hyphenate approach to life and work. I wear many hats: during the day, I’m a leadership and professional development trainer, helping individuals unlock their potential. I’m also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA), providing therapy to adolescents and adults, with a focus on women’s issues, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and more.

But my work doesn’t stop there. On the weekends, I curate dynamic events under the Tru Vibez banner, from brunches and networking events to lively day parties. These gatherings are more than just social occasions—they’re intentional spaces where people can truly be themselves, forge meaningful connections, share resources, and, of course, have a great time.

I’m passionate about creating environments that empower and uplift, whether in a therapeutic setting or at one of our vibrant events. We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

One of the most important lessons I had to unlearn was that it’s not only okay to be more than one thing, but it’s also okay to take up as much space as you need. When I first started co- hosting events, they were primarily brunches centered around women’s empowerment. As the years passed, the brand expanded into organizing parties and offering more networking opportunities—a shift that brought me into a whole new world.

At times, I felt conflicted, worrying about how others might perceive me. I didn’t want to be seen solely as someone who just throws parties when, in reality, there’s so much more happening behind the scenes of my life. But I realized that being multifaceted means embracing all parts of who you are, even if others don’t fully understand it.

I had to learn to be comfortable with being misunderstood and to let go of the need for approval. By owning my diverse passions and trusting my path, I’ve found the freedom to create and grow without limits. It’s a journey of embracing your full self and caring less about others’ opinions—one that I continue to navigate with pride and purpose.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

What has truly helped me stand out is the way I treat everyone as though they are VIPs—because, in my eyes, they are. I believe that every connection is special, and I’m deeply grateful for the support I receive. I never feel entitled to anyone’s time or attention, so when people choose to celebrate with me, connect with me, or bring me into new opportunities, I see it as a privilege, not a given.

This mindset drives me to create meaningful, memorable experiences for everyone I interact with. It’s about more than just building a network; it’s about honoring each person’s unique contribution to my journey and ensuring they feel valued every step of the way. By appreciating the significance of every relationship, I’ve been able to foster a community that thrives on mutual respect and genuine connection.
