Samantha, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

My hope is that when people think of me, they think of someone who lived a life that was true to her. I hope that they think of me as someone who saw and celebrated all of the weird, wild, and magical parts of herself and encouraged others to embrace their authentic selves.

I hope they think of me and feel inspired to enjoy all of the pleasures that life has to offer and push beyond the fear of looking silly. Whether it’s launching the business, writing the book, moving to another country, or ordering the extra appetizer, I hope they say “Samantha really went for her dreams and inspired me to go after mine, too.”

And of course, ZenBoss Academy continues to help thousands of impact-driven leaders launch their business and make a positive difference.

Samantha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am the founder at ZenBoss Academy, an online business school for coaches, practitioners and leaders in the wellness and healing industries. Our group coaching program helps you launch a profitable business by teaching you how to share your stand-out brand story, get clear on who you serve, build an irresistible offer, create captivating content, and launch successfully. Upon graduation, ZenBoss Academy’s students have been able to generate five-figure revenue months and quit their jobs to work full-time on their own businesses. ZBA is more than just a marketing program, it is a school that helps entrepreneurs step into their role as intuitive leaders who are clear on the impact they want to make on the world and how to make a full-time living doing it.
During my 6 years in the coaching industry, I came across many marketing programs, but few that combined strategy with spirituality. That led me to create ZenBoss Academy. I believe intuition is key to building a business you love and avoiding burnout– and I weave that into everything I teach. As a reiki master and meditation lover, I incorporate these practices into our coaching and curriculum so entrepreneurs can use them to build a profitable business without sacraficing their zen.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

How comfortable I am with intimacy. I believe that a key aspect of leadership that is vastly underdeveloped is the ability to get intimate with yourself and your clients. I am not afraid to ask brave questions and feel very comfortable holding space for big feelings because I’ve worked really hard to get comfortable with my own big feelings.

Part of being a business coach that leads with an intuitive approach means that I prioritize the person before the profit margins. I think that is really felt in an industry that seems to be obsessed with the next 10k revenue goal or follower count. Whether I’m talking to a prospective student on a sales call, coaching a student inside of ZenBoss Academy, or connecting with a fellow industry leader, I really am generous with the love, attention, and space I give.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

Having an exceptional offer is by far the most effective strategy to get new clients. There are countless ways to grow your business. You can create great content and build a social media community, get publicity, or run paid ads but nothing is as simple, easy, and effective as client referrals. When you have an offer or service that truly changes someone’s life, they can’t help but refer you to other people that they love. Investing in making sure that my service is exceptional, has been the best use of my time. I’m proud to say ZenBoss Academy is that exceptional offer.
