Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Salvador Meave. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Salvador, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Our world has become extremely divided and fragmented. “Colors Unite Us” Soiree and Fashion Show – Connecting People Through the Colors Of Fashion, is a call for unity! Everyone has a favorite color – EVERYONE. It is that same premise that is the foundation of the this project. No matter your walk of life. origin, color, nationality, orientation, or political affiliation, we put all that aside and focus on love. The love of fashion. A night of fun with fabulous people from all over the country will be the vibe of this soiree. The legendary Nigel Barker will be our guest of honor and will be hosted by the Houston Icon Debra Duncan.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Having worked with fantastic designers such as Trina Turk, Nicholas Nguyen and the Emmy Award Winning Alan Gonzalez on a fashion projects benefiting AIDS Foundation Houston, working with Negris Lebrum and Nigel Barker on this soiree and fashion show just felt right. I am passionate about giving back to our world. “Colors Unite Us” Soiree and Fashion Show is benefiting the Make A Wish Foundation and that makes this truly, fashion for a function.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
It is vital to have strong, positive reputation. I come from a place of “YES”. Which means I am going to find a way and have a great attitude while doing it. Houston is my home and I love everything about our city. And building friendships and cultivating a strong network is life blood for any PR firm or business. Have strong follow through, keep your word, under promise and over deliver – there is no magic pill for success, all that is needed is DRIVE and CHARACTER.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Having a strong social media game is vital, but we cant forget our face to face social skills. Social Media will never replace being confident in a person to person interaction. In order to build your audience and your network, I have found that actually attending social functions that line up with your brand’s culture and essence is one of the most effective tools to build a strong presence. From these events and functions, make friends, take pictures and be yourself. Posting and tagging your growing network will add organic growth and strong audience interaction.
