Salar , appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Imagine being able to relive the sights, sounds, and sentiments of your wedding day, even decades down the line. One of the most beautiful aspects of a wedding film is the ability to capture the small moments and details that make your day unique. From the subtle expressions on your loved ones’ faces to the intricate details of your wedding dress, a wedding video captures the essence of your day. Salar Media’s mission is to produce the wedding film that will be treasured as an heirloom in your family for generations to come.
Some time ago we stumbled upon our parents’ wedding footage from the 90’s. We saw our grandparents smile without the weathering of time. We watched our aunts and uncles goof off as if no one was watching. Above all that, we witnessed our parents’ love story and life-long commitment made to one another. Over thirty years later, we’re left with a time capsule honoring the moments that shaped our family. The preservation of these core memories on film is truly a blessing for generations to come.

We’re Salar Media, your Detroit wedding videographer duo. We produce films to immerse you in the nostalgia of your wedding day and leave you with a cherished, lifelong memento.
We found our love for filmmaking during the quietness of 2020’s quarantine. Inching to get out of the house, we would take our couple-friends out on adventure shoots and capture their love stories from behind cameras. From the very beginning, we envisioned ourselves dedicating our whole career to capturing the most distinguished moments of people’s lives.
Our appreciation for film developed videography and photography is a big part of our brand. We pride ourselves in being collectors of several Super 8 cameras and 35mm film cameras. We believe that film is a timeless quality that outshines so many trends and fads. The effect of a film camera on a wedding day will bring a sense of warmth and make your video more memorable to look back upon. Although film mainstreamed back in the 70’s, we still appreciate its vintage aesthetic and nostalgic qualities.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Social media (Instagram in particular) has been the greatest way to showcase our work to a mass audience. Not only do we display our portfolio, but we also use this platform to talk about the heart behind Salar Media, and even share personal aspects of our life.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Art has the power to evoke emotions, provoke thought, and inspire others. We find fulfillment in knowing that our work becomes a cherished family heirloom for so many couples.
