Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sairy Escobar. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Sairy thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
In 2023 I spontaneously volunteered to be the choreographer/helper for a close family friends daughter quince. She gave me the opportunity to have an input on her dances, to show her my creative side and to see if this is something I might be into. Funny enough it was exactly what I expected and fell in love with being a choreographer not only for the dance but being able to meet new people and show them my craft as well as helping someones dreams come true.Being part of their dream quinceañera is something I cannot express the thrill it gives myself and my team. After finishing up with her quince in JUNE 03 2023 , I knew that was something I wanted to continue as a hobby & now is part of my life.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
As a 27 year old female with two kids and a husband now,I have always had a passion for dance since I could walk or even before then as my mom tells me. I knew this was my calling , from Elementary school having the guts to enter the talent show with my then two best friends who did not take it as seriously as I did so we didn’t even place , to joining the dance team in 8th grade, being the dance instructors model for having a specific movement and coordination and not being able to continue due to family circumstances who prevented myself to have a reliable transportation , to wanting to join my high school cheerleader / dance team but being too scared to get let down again by life but still practicing all the new dances at home by myself , creating routines/ choreography to Beyoncé , Shakira , Chris brown songs. To Finally choreographing my very own QUINCEAÑERA ! I knew I wanted a career in the dance field whether that was being an Actual Dancer & getting to be part of Beyoncé or Shakira’s team as they were always my Idols growing up. Or Becoming a Choreographer for big pop stars like Beyoncé & Shakira themselves. Wherever life took me I knew it would be in a field I love to do. Fast Forward a few years later I volunteered to do my friends quince choreography as a hobby & fell in love with teaching dance routines. Quince choreography gave me not only the freedom to add my style of dance but learn new dances with every unique new family I meet and get to learn about their culture as well. Take a trip choreography is really that taking a trip around the world with everyones style of dance whom we get to learn from. From the behind the scene prepping the dances before our first practice, to finally meeting the quinceañera and her court as well her family and to finally finalize the full choreography and present it to all her family and friends it is the most unbelievable moment ever. Creating the choreography is only part of what we do but we are also helping out with anything and everything they need. From doing the mixes to their songs, to prepping the night before , to assisting the mom with getting their daughters ready or having outfit changes, to maybe adjusting the crown on the quinceañera or simply guiding the father with the shoe change or even helping guest get to their seat. Whatever their needs are we are there to help. We have build so Many families and have made so many friends in the process of just simply choreographing a special dance for an event.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Our absolute goal in this journey Is to one day open up our very own dance studio specifically for quinceañera or any other special events. To have one spot dedicated where everyone can go to and have fun, make memories but most importantly learn.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building my audience was a bit tricky in the beginning. I did not know where or how to begin, at first it started with my uncle getting me my first paying clients and not only that but helping us know our worth and how much to charge, later on I opened up my TikTok page which was slowly taking off. My second quinceañera came around and one of our videos blew up to 1 million views and from there we kept posting more and more content that people were going to enjoy but not only posting but interacting with our followers, setting our goal to reach a certain amount of followers by the end of 2023 we had already reached 10k followers , fast forward to 2025 we are now at 29k followers on TikTok & 3k followers on instagram. The key to continue to grow is being consistent , knowing your audience , and knowing what your brand is about. Also being 100% real with what you stand for.One day we hope to reach 1 million followers but for now we are going to continue to grow little by little.
