Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Saira Orozco. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Saira, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
When I come up with an idea for any event. It usually starts with the clients perspective. I ask them what they envision in their wedding, birthday, engagement etc and then I take it from there. It’s so important for me to understand the personality of the client, how they fell in love, what they love or hate. Once I get a gist of what they’re like I then begin my creative process by listening to music, meditating, sleeping, working out to get my brain flowing with any ideas that come to mind. I love to be able to create something out of nothing. It is my favorite things to do but it is so challenging. I sometimes feel like I get brain fried. I also love to travel. When I am stuck on something I usually travel to get a good feel of things. Environmental is key for me and I love creating when I am in a different zone. I do look online for inspiration or see what they have for me but I always like to personalize it for them. Inspo is always great but not authentic so we typically take it as something to look at until we begin actually creating something meaningful. I also love doing my design meetings in person and sitting down with my clients. I love to talk with them and see where their mind is at – It gets my creative juices flowing.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started in the wedding industry back in 2017 when I was a beverage server at a prestigious wedding venue. It all started there. I learned everything from back of house to assisting weddings. I also met vendors along the way and worked for them – I worked with a floral company creating the flowers for the event and also worked in a production company. Throughout the years I learned so much from experience.
We are a wedding planning service and will provide a white glove service for our clients that are beginning their wedding planning journey. We essentially make everything come to life from start to finish. Booking their dream venue and vendors, creating their wedding design, panning out logistics and so much more. It’s all tedious and a labor of love.
This industry is very much dependent on relationships. Who you know will take you very far. Who you have worked with will also take you very far. I have done both for several years and have learned who to trust in and who to not. When booking your team it is so important to book the best possible team. They are the ones who are going to make or break your event. Fortunately if you have a wedding planner we will pave the way for you however if you do not have a planner it will become difficult to know who to choose. We are in a hospitality industry and we look for customer service, quality, professionalism, creativity, and efficiency to name a few. Everything ties in together – especially the day of your wedding. You do not want a vendor to show up late, have poor quality work or lack of communication because that will make the day very hard for everyone as a team. Our team stays on top of our vendors to ensure everything goes as smooth as possible however there is always a fire we have to deal with and thats okay! That’s what we are hired to do!

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
Yes! It is crazy how it can happen without you even knowing where things can possibly take you. I initially was going to school for nursing. I graduated with an associates degree but found myself loving the wedding industry. In high school I got my floral certification and had some experience with being creative. I then worked at the venue and also started to do florals with Keishas Kreation. This is where I put my floral certification to the test. I then decided to try to do it on my own as a side hustle making small arrangements however I wanted to do more. Throughout the years of learning at the venue, floral company and working at a production company to becoming a logistics manager. I found myself being multifaceted almost to the point where I can be able to implement everything all in one which lead me to planning weddings at its full potential. So I just risked it! I created everything overnight and believed it will take off with my experience.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe having solid relationships with vendors has helped me so much along with having clients that trusted in me.
