We recently connected with Sainte Billings and have shared our conversation below.
Sainte, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
The legacy I hope to build is one that embodies a life of purpose, love, and transformation. I want to be remembered as someone who truly lived a blessed life, not just in the material sense, but in the way I touched the lives of others. My goal is to have built communities that thrive, uplifted those who felt unseen or unheard, and helped end cycles of poverty for generations to come.
I want people to remember that my presence in a room brought light, joy, and hope, wherever I went, the atmosphere shifted for the better. I hope that my actions, my words, and my relationships are the things that left a lasting impact. Above all, I want to be remembered for how I positively affected the lives of others, how I encouraged them to see their potential, and helped them become the best versions of themselves.
In the end, I want to leave behind more than just accomplishments; I want my footprints to be felt in the hearts of those I’ve touched. I hope to have created something meaningful, something that outlasts me, a legacy that shows I truly made a difference in the world and in the lives of the people who crossed my path.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Sainte Billings, and I’m the founder of Ampliara, a financial services firm committed to helping high-income professionals and business owners align their financial strategy with their life goals. My journey into this industry was driven by a desire to make complex financial concepts accessible to individuals who need clarity and strategic guidance but often find themselves overwhelmed by the details.
My target audience consists of trailblazers, those who didn’t come from a lineage of business owners or inherit financial legacies, and who often feel that the level of expertise they need is out of their reach. Many of these individuals are overlooked or underserved by larger firms, which tend to focus on clients with more established financial histories. These firms may not fully appreciate or cater to the needs of smaller businesses or business owners who are working hard to build their wealth. This is where I come in. I’m passionate about serving these clients because they are the ones who drive me to do what I do. By working with me, they receive the level of care, attention, and financial expertise they deserve without the impersonal treatment or excessive costs often associated with larger firms.
As a CPA with a background in tax planning, I’ve seen firsthand the impact that sound financial decisions or the lack thereof can have on people’s lives. After working at Ernst & Young, I realized I wanted to take my expertise beyond just compliance and really empower people to be proactive with their money. That’s how Ampliara was born, out of a passion for helping others navigate financial challenges and, more importantly, helping them thrive, not just survive.
At Ampliara, we provide a range of services, from tax preparation and advisory to comprehensive tax planning and bookkeeping for business owners and high earners. We take a holistic approach to financial planning, which means we don’t just help you save money, we help you understand how to maximize your wealth and build a legacy. Whether it’s making sure your business structure is optimized for tax savings, providing quarterly tax projections, or offering year-round advisory support, our goal is to help our clients feel confident in their financial decisions and achieve long-term success.
What sets me apart from others in the industry is that I don’t just offer services; I build relationships. I take the time to understand my clients’ broader life goals, beyond just the numbers, and craft personalized strategies that align with their vision. It’s not just about helping clients save on taxes today, it’s about setting them up for financial success for years to come.
What I’m most proud of is the way I’ve been able to build Ampliara into a trusted partner for many business owners and high-income professionals. I take pride in knowing that my clients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their financial decisions. I’m also proud of the work we’ve done to provide financial literacy resources to underserved communities, helping them break free from the cycle of financial uncertainty.
For those who are new to my work, I want them to know that my approach is rooted in integrity and education. I don’t just want to be the expert in the room, I want my clients to feel confident that they can navigate their own finances with knowledge and purpose. My brand is about more than just managing numbers; it’s about creating financial clarity, building wealth, and giving people the tools they need to make better financial decisions.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been building authentic, trust-based relationships. I focus on offering value first, whether through educational content, tax planning insights, or addressing specific client pain points. I’ve found that when people feel confident and supported in their financial journey, they naturally share their experiences and refer others.
I also leverage word-of-mouth and referrals from current clients, as they are often the best advocates for my services. Providing personalized and high-touch service makes clients feel heard and valued, which leads to long-term relationships and trust.
Additionally, I’ve been intentional about positioning myself in spaces where my target audience resides, whether through content marketing on social media, hosting educational webinars, or participating in industry-specific networking events. Creating consistent, relevant content on platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and my podcast has helped establish credibility and reach potential clients who resonate with my approach.
Lastly, offering specialized services that cater to the unique needs of high-income professionals and business owners, such as personalized tax optimization strategies, has attracted the right clientele who are seeking expertise they can’t find elsewhere.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A key lesson I had to unlearn was the idea that success in business requires always being busy or working long hours. Early on in my career, I believed that to prove my worth, I had to constantly hustle and be available 24/7. I thought being overworked and overwhelmed was a sign of commitment and productivity.
However, I soon realized that this approach was unsustainable and counterproductive. The constant hustle led to burnout, and I wasn’t giving my best to my clients, my business, or myself. I had to unlearn that being busy didn’t equate to being effective.
The turning point came when I started focusing more on strategic decision-making and delegating tasks that were better suited for others. I began prioritizing my well-being and setting clear boundaries. By managing my time better and aligning my work with my core business goals, I found that I could achieve even more, while being more present and focused.
Unlearning this lesson has allowed me to be more intentional with my time and energy, and it’s made me a more effective business owner. It also reinforced that success isn’t about how much time you spend working, but about how efficiently and purposefully you use your time to create lasting impact.
