Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Saige Thomas. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Saige thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Geisa Haus was formed to provide fashion designers & retailers a one-stop-shop service for all of their fashion show and media needs. The team at Geisa Haus is made up of fashion show producers, photographers, website developers, and a fashion videographer.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Geisa Haus provides nearly all of the services needed for a fashion show from casting to day-of-show production. We are the only production & media company that offers services tailored to fashion designer’s needs. We are most proud of our work for GreciaSwim, The 40th American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin Convention, Austin Alegria, and Lux Zaya. We are also proud of our recent work that was published by PhotoVogue, featuring Isabella Rush posing as Frida Kahlo.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a fashion show producer is getting to see the final display of your work that took months to build and seeing how that impacts the client. Witnessing a designer experience ultimate happiness due to a well organized & produced show is an incredibly satisfying feeling.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
The books that have impacted our business the most are “Guide to Producing a Fashion Show” )by Judith C. Everett, Kristen K. Swanson , and José Blanco F), “The Fashion Business Manual” (by Fashionary), and “The Fashion Set: The Art of the Fashion Show” by Roads Publishing. When I first started producing shows, it was hard to find any resources to help find the most efficient way to run a well-organized show. As a student of continuous process-improvement, I’m always looking for a better way to organize fashion shows and plan set designs.
