Alright, Saide thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
Naming a brand is one of the most critical yet emotional phases in a product development.
The most challenging phase was to come up with a catchy name that suits well the characteristics of our company, also easy to connect with our audience.
During the brainstorming session, we simplified our thoughts in order for us to pick an easy to be remembered brand name. A captivating, resonating and creative name. A name that Speaks for itself!
We were looking for a descriptive and generic name at the same time; in order for us to trademark the company at a later stage.
Our main goal was that the public easily understand what we are selling.
We asked ourselves this specific question! What we will be doing with our chocolate?
And the name came by itself. We are Speaking Chocolate!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Initially, I am a formal Film Producer/ Director with intensive experience in Advertising, Product Development and Company profiles. My previous experiences exposed me to deep research about the People behind businesses, yet I always want it to have a product of mine.
Married & mom of twins, was the perfect time to follow my dream. A brand that will grow little by little along the way with our children.
Why Speaking Chocolate specifically?
Formally, my In Laws used to own a Chocolate Shop in Manhattan, New York. My mom in law was the key to make me travel into the sweets world.
Any business’ opening goes through different stages. The very first stages (Research, Branding, Purchasing & Licensing) were so thrilling. Especially when a service you used to get hired for is now your own product.
Everything went so smooth and we were almost sure that we did the right decisions with reference to the end product in terms of Chocolate quality, Packaging & Pricing.
We launched Speaking Chocolate on November 6, 2019. The first few months sale were more than forecasted. Our customers fell in love with our product until the pandemic hit, so we laid back because we didn’t know what to expect. Currently, we are back on track putting aside last years chapter.

Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?
When we started, we didn’t have enough resources to open a shop so we started as a Cottage Food Business yet all food safety criteria’s are met.
Speaking Chocolate is a Handmade product; and as mentioned before, my Mom in law put me on the right track, teaching me everything related to a delicious, shiny and good quality chocolate.
We use two kind of chocolate, Milk and White. Both are so mouthwatering. The chocolate utensils & machinery were all ordered from Switzerland.
The packaging personality is communicative, passionate, trustworthy, caring and sincere. Building enough trust of what is inside the box and here comes my personal expertise and dedication.
Speaking chocolate is a unique concept. It’s more like an artisan work. Whenever a clientele place an order, we go together through a very interesting process to work out the message, feel and mood of the box. A very satisfying process, because every box is initiating a special moment for someone.
Our boxes always make a perfect gift for any occasion be it a birthday, proposal, ceremonies, baby showers, weddings, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines, Easter, Teachers etc.

How’d you meet your business partner?
It all started in 2018 when I planned a trip to Florida to spend my summer vacation. Luckily and without prior notice, I met my soul mate Anthony. Today we are happily married with twin girls.
The day we knew I am pregnant, was the most beautiful day of our lives and it was the day where it all started.
When we told my Mother in Law about my twins pregnancy, she got very excited, sharing stories & memories emphasising on the Chocolate & Sweet Shop they used to own and operate back then in Manhattan, New York.
She promised that she will teach me every detail she knows about chocolate and sweets so one day I pass this legacy to my own kids.
That night, I couldn’t stop thinking about her attachement to this legacy.
The second day, I expressed myself to my husband about my forever dream to have my own brand. But I was waiting for the perfect product and right timing.
I always wanted a product with a story to tell. A product that have a special bond with my audience; A product that speaks with them and that’s how we combined my dream brand with the family tradition for our kids to inherit and Speaking Chocolate was born.
Last but not least, we are very happy doing this; we are producing a beautiful product all along a beautiful family; a life optimum & “We Always Speak Sweet”
