Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sadia. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Sadia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you have any thoughts about how to create a more inclusive workplace?
Creating a more inclusive workplace starts with a mindset that diversity isn’t just a checkbox—it’s a critical component of innovation and organizational success. One defining moment stands out from my journey in HR and as a Senior Executive, Human Resources Business Partner. Early in my career, I worked in a space where policies seemed inclusive on paper but failed to resonate in practice. For instance, the lack of flexibility around cultural or religious observances unintentionally created a divide between employees and leadership.
This experience motivated me to advocate for structural changes, such as floating holidays and cultural awareness trainings. I learned that inclusivity isn’t about creating one-size-fits-all solutions but about recognizing and adapting to the unique needs of every individual. I also implemented anonymous feedback mechanisms to amplify underrepresented voices and used the insights to foster a culture of belonging.
My advice is simple: inclusivity starts with listening. Engage with employees at all levels, create safe spaces for dialogue, and continuously adapt your practices. Remember, an inclusive workplace isn’t built overnight—it’s an ongoing process of learning, unlearning, and growing together.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

One of the things I’m most proud of is how my platform bridges the gap between personal and professional growth. Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
One of my favorite marketing stories is about promoting my event. I faced the challenge of limited resources and a tight timeline to reach the right audience. The odds felt stacked against me, but I knew that if I wanted this event to succeed, I’d need to take bold and unconventional steps.
Instead of relying solely on digital outreach, I decided to connect with people personally. I visited local masjids after prayers and shared flyers directly with community members, explaining the event’s purpose and its focus on empowering women. I also went to restaurants that were popular gathering spots for my target audience, handing out flyers and engaging in meaningful conversations with patrons about why this event mattered.
In addition to this grassroots approach, I tailored my outreach to potential sponsors, crafting personalized messages that emphasized how their values aligned with the event’s goals. To build excitement, I used social media strategically, sharing behind-the-scenes snippets, polls, and countdowns to create buzz and anticipation.
The personal connections I built through face-to-face interactions, combined with a well-executed marketing strategy, paid off. The event was well-attended, and the feedback was incredible. Reflecting on the experience, I felt a mix of exhaustion and pride—knowing that taking risks, showing up in person, and authentically engaging with people made all the difference.
This experience taught me that sometimes the most impactful marketing isn’t digital or flashy—it’s showing up, connecting directly with people, and sharing your passion face-to-face.
Have you ever had to pivot?
When I first launched SadiaSaidSo, it was simply a blog where I shared insights on business, career growth, and women’s empowerment. It was a creative outlet alongside my work in HR. But as my blog gained traction, women started reaching out for personalized guidance on career transitions, resume writing, and navigating the job market. That’s when I realized I had the unique opportunity to turn SadiaSaidSo into a full-fledged platform.
The transition was seamless for me because of my HR background. Having spent years in the field, I know exactly what hiring managers and HR professionals are looking for. This gave me an edge when creating services like career coaching, resume revamps, LinkedIn profile optimization, and interview preparation. I wasn’t just giving advice; I was equipping women with the tools to stand out in a competitive market, all based on insider knowledge of what works.
What made this journey especially rewarding was seeing the tangible impact of my work—clients landing their dream roles, building confidence, and elevating their professional presence. SadiaSaidSo has grown from a blog into a platform that empowers women and organizations to reach their potential through workshops, branding strategies, and career development guidance.
This experience taught me that when you combine your passion with your expertise, the possibilities are endless. For me, SadiaSaidSo isn’t just a business—it’s a mission to help others thrive by giving them the insights and strategies they need to succeed.
