We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sade’ Tippton. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sade’ below.
Sade’, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
The arts of all aspects was introduced to me at an early age. Ive always enjoyed different forms of art like dance, music, fashion and drawing. my first love was dance. I remember growing up me and my closest friends created a dance group and would tried out for our middle school talent show but, as I got older I realized that I enjoyed painting and drawing more. throughout my 4 years of high school I would take different art classes from drawing 1 to classes like airbrushing and sculpturing as electives. It wasn’t until I saw a self portrait of my airbrush work hung up on the walls by my art teacher room is when I really started to be proud of my work. Soon after that I attended the Illustrious Clark Atlanta University, an HBCU in Atlanta, GA. I entered my freshman year as a Biology Major thinking I wanted to be a Pediatrician. After TERRIBLY failing multiple bio classes my fall semester I decided to change my major to Fashion Merchandising and that’s was when I realized I can make a career being a creative and my art work. As a Fashion Merchandising major I was introduced to many different things like Fashion of course ! but also Graphic design, photography, and creative directing. I then had a family member at the time that was really interested in becoming a music artist so I would use the things I would learn from inside and outside my classes to do things like style them for music videos, create album covers & flyers, also coming up with some creative directing Ideas for videos & photoshoots. After I graduated in May 2022 I was tired of being behind the scenes with my artwork and ideas. that’s when I was introduced to the world of modeling. Ever since then I have been very happy over the 2 years with modeling and also using my B.A. in Fashion Merchandising to become a Visual Merchandiser or Marketing Coordinator in the future.
Sade’, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Of Course ! so I am Sade’ Tippton I am a Creative, Entrepreneur, and Model. I got into modeling about 2 years ago after graduating college. It started out with me contacting a fantastic photographer with simple ideas I had for my first photoshoot. After getting good and encouraging reviews things started to go up from there. I have been in multiple photoshoots and I have walked on the runway and model for some brands in my city area. I enjoy modeling for streetwear brands and startup brands. I like to fee like I am growing with a company. I think what sets me apart from others is how flexible I am when it comes to accommodations and criticism. I am someone that is already extremely hard on myself so when I hear criticism about my digital art or advice on my modeling I know its to help me and become better in my craft instead of discourage me. If I also don’t know how to do something I like work and practice on it until I know I can do the best way I can do. I am most proud of just the simple fact that I am blessed and confident enough to step out on a stage in front of people.I am proud in my ability to network with other people that in this industry with me because it was a point in time that I thought I would never be in the front but the person behind the scenes. Which is nothing wrong with being behind the scenes it only wrong if you are back there because your fears won’t let you come to the front. I would just like to share with anyone that would read this conquer your fears. No matter how big or how small they maybe. Conquer your fears because you will never know where it might take you. I used to be the girl that would cry just being on stage now I am walking in Fashion Shows.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an creative is the positive and encouraging reactions and views I get from others. Like I said before I am some that is extremely hard on myself sometimes to the point where I feel like I really can’t do anything right. I even sometimes overthinking a post on social media before I even post it ! so when I do get the confidence to post then get such amazing feedback afterwards is such a great and refreshing feeling. Not saying what others think should dictate how you feel but, it feels good to get good reactions ever now and again.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes ! I have multiple career goals for myself in this creative journey that I am in but my two main goals is to become a Visual Merchandiser or Creative Director for a fashion brand my dream is to leave Retail and level up to a more fashion cooperate role . I also want to be a model for a billboard or in a page in a magazine. I just want something for my family all over to look at and have the proud feeling of ” Yea…… She Made It !” LOL if that make sense.
