We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sade Page a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sade, thanks for joining us today. In our experience, overnight success is usually the result of years of hard work laying the foundation for success, but unfortunately, it’s exactly this part of the story that most of the media ignores. So, we’d appreciate if you could open up about your growth story and the nitty, gritty details that went into scaling up.
One way that I’ve been able to scale up is by being more present on social media. I remember a younger version of myself stressing about not being on a physical stage as often as I’d like then someone told me, “you’ve got the whole world in your hand”. I began to post more content, and use the tools that were easily accessible to me. By doing so Ive nearly doubled my fanbase, and create more opportunities for me to be on physical stages.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
As a Singer songwriter musician from Texas, I found myself being pulled in many different directions. I’ve spent a lot of time as a gig musician, playing guitar and a variety of cover bands. The past couple of years, I have focused my efforts on my solo career as a recording artist, and pulling myself from the shadows of being a gig musician. By far one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but in the same breath, one of the things that I’m most proud of. At the end of 2022 I released my first EP. (proud of us.) referencing the many versions of myself that it took to create this body of work. The title speaks for itself, I use to dream about making music like this.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I will say I’m not the best but I carry myself as if I am. Branding is one of the pivotal things that has happened in my career. Quality of content, frequency of post, etc. and of course every time I show up I do my best to show out.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I remember at one point not too long ago. I really didn’t see how I was going to be able to accomplish my goals. But me and God have this type of relationship where I do absolutely everything in my power, and then he shows up and does the rest. And that’s exactly what he did. At one point I was releasing music, not getting the responses that I wanted. I found myself in a rut, I had exhausted all of my resources and wasn’t really sure what to do next. The only thing I had left was a phone number from a celebrity that I just played guitar for at warehouse live. It felt sort of strange, but something told me to reach out, so I did. Next thing you know I was on a flight out to Atlanta, and I was making connections left and right. I haven’t stopped moving sense and all it took was a phone call. I often reflect on the decision I made, because I could’ve given up. I could’ve been too shy to reach out to the stranger in fear of sounding thirsty. But I upheld my end of the deal that me and God had, and I did my absolute best and he’s continuing to do the rest..
