Sade, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Our mission at Ssential Aesthetics is to encourage all our present and potential clients to make self-care their top priority. Putting yourself at the top of your list is essential. As individuals, we often dedicate so much of our time to taking care of others. Here at Ssential Aesthetics, we acknowledge that it is absolutely necessary to pour into your own cup. Speaking from personal experience, I love lending a hand to my friends, family, and loved ones; however, I often neglect my own needs. Over time, I’ve learned the importance of maintaining mental and physical self-care. At Ssential Aesthetics, we provide services that help you balance those self-care priorities because we want to see everyone at their best.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Sade Howard and I am the owner of Ssential Aesthetics. I started my brand on March 3, 2022 and fell in love with being an entrepreneur. Although I am a new entrepreneur, I appreciate every experience or road block thus far and am looking forward to every opportunity coming my way. From the beginning of my journey, I have always wanted to take part in the beauty/esthetician industry. It started off with me enjoying playing in my makeup and then practicing on some friends and family. In my senior year of college while balancing 4 jobs, I decided to start living with a purpose and chase my dreams of starting my very own business. In December of 2022, I started my business plan, got my certification in teeth whitening, and immediately started taking clients. I really put my best effort towards building my brand, not only because my name is attached but also I want my business to always be successful. No matter the circumstance, I remain consistent with exposing my brand name to build my clientele. Currently at Ssential Aesthetics, we are offering teeth whitening services and coming soon, eye brow threading, and tinting. We love providing new smiles to our clients. Theres no better feeling than having a client smile endlessly and thank you for your service. I would say we offer a unique service (teeth whitening) and it separates us from a lot of the local businesses around us. I am most proud of delivering quality customer service. We strive for perfecting our customer’s experience and growing with them as their needs widen. The main thing I want our potential clients/followers to know is that teeth whitening is 100% safe and effective. We also use all organic products. I want people to know I am dedicated to getting everything I deserve in this life. To anyone that has a small business or thinking about starting one, GO FOR IT! As long as you believe in yourself and stay consistent with your vision, you will see amazing results.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategies for growing my clientele is keeping my social media updated as much as possible and client reviews. Everywhere I go, I carry business cards and spread the word as much as I can about our business page. Having clients refer you to potential clients is also very effective. I love when new clients come in as referrals and they talk about the person’s experience. It lets me know to stay on track or even other minor things I might want to tweak within the service.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One overall lesson I had to unlearn is self-doubt. Some days I find it hard to stay motivated and most of the times its because of self-doubt, overthinking, and a whole bunch of “what if” scenarios running through my head. I still struggle with it sometimes but I am so much better at overcoming it. The key to staying motivated is believing in yourself, surrounding yourself with influential people that support you, and no matter what, keep going! I understand that the road will never be easy, but regardless I made a promise to myself to never give up.
