Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sadaiza Middleton . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sadaiza, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
I say this a hundred times a day! If I could go back in time I would’ve started my business sooner right in high school or right after high school. I always had this mindset that I wanted to start a business some way or some how but, never knew the type of business I wanted to start. I have always been in to beauty and fashion my whole entire life so I knew if I did start a business it would have been in the beauty industry. However, at the time I never knew how to start a business or when will it be a great time for me to start a business. Scared to take that risk to start always knew working for someone else is not what I wanted to do with my life or picture it to be. Life for me at the time was hard because I was young not making enough more at the job that I was at in high school. Looking back, wish I got to know more about running a business when I was younger getting into more details with handling a business and how to properly run one. how to build a brand; LLC’s, business accounts, taxes the whole rundown. But, at the same time jumping into where I am not it feels like I have learned so much own my about a business as I keep going. To the point where all of my mistakes and errors what I have learned/know now I’m able to guide the next person to not make the same errors and mistakes I have made when I first started & much more. However, I started my business at a rough time in my life but, a goodtime because I took that risk,
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
yes! My name is Sadaiza Middleton, I am a entrepreneur/lash artist! I have been lashing for about three years going on four years now. Back in 2019, is when I first discovered eyelash extensions I actually got introduced to lash extensions from a close friend of mines we both went to get our lashes done by the lash artist that I actually took my very first lash class with. before then, I was asking tons of questions as I was getting my lashes done at the time to the lash artist such as ” How long was you doing lashes?” & “Do you know anyone that does lash classes?” . I always had a passion for anything that was in the beauty industry. Also, at the time I was working a low minimum wage job and I always knew that I wanted my own business some way some how. Before, I invested in the lash class I started selling lash strips then from there invested in taking a lash class. That got me where I am today!
One thing I want people to know about me I see so much potential in a person before they’ll be able to see it in there self that is why I offer lash classes. in each of classes I always tell each of my students even if lashes is not what you see yourself doing in the long run. Find your passion and go for it no matter what do what YOU love to do and go for it! I so much opportunities in the world for everyone. other than, being a lash artist I just love putting people in positions where they see more to life, wanna do more in life! teaching & motivating others.
The type of lash sets that I provide to my clients are all volume sets: So, you have a light volume set that is consider a more natural and full look. Volume set is consider a mixture of light volume and mega volume but, not as extreme as a mega volume is more of the dramatic full look! Offering Volume sets in my opinion helps with the lasting of my clients lashes as in they’ll book a fill-in in between 3-4 weeks time period.
One thing that sets my work apart from others I always do my clients sets different in many ways each one of my clients can book for the same set. But, I will always make sure the looks is different that fits their eye shape and their face no matter what. Making sure my work is different each time.
I’m proud of how far my business came! No one knew but, I use to wanna quit because I wanted more for my business. It only made me stronger & wanted to go harder I’m so proud of all the new clients, loyal clients and everyone that book a lash appointment with me and ever sat in on of my classes before. Because, without all my clients support sadaizabaesthetics wouldn’t be where I am right now. For that I’m forever grateful and proud.
Besides, working a full-time job and running a Full business it’s very very hard at times but, no matter what I’ll always put my business first before anything.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Social Media, Branding & Marketing has been the most effective way that help me big time with growing my clientele I always try to make sure my content is on point that catches clients/potential clients attention. Also, try to stay active as much as I can on social media making sure that I’m always interacting with each one of my clients. Sometimes, having random sales that draws even more clients! Also, paying attention to the type of content that I put out I try to keep up with what’s more up to trend right now. What will draw more and more people attention each month I’m ready to do something different rebranding if needed.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
It’s so many ways that helped me build my audience one of the most effective ways posting constantly and engaging with upcoming clients/ returning clients and future clients! Also, seeing what is in trending right now as far as what would people like to see when running a eyelash business posting your work is so important. Making sure that your pictures and videos are clean & clear as possible. creating a content for my page helped me as well making sure that I post more of my work keeping my page professional, organized helps draw people attention and staying constant!
The best advice I can give anyone that wants to build a social media presence? is to find your own style, look into ways that you can stand out from others that will draw audience attention. Most people, now love when someone is different and unique also, professional with it as well. look into what’s going on in todays world on social media and give it your own twist but, think outside of the box when your looking into building your brand/social media platform.
