We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sacrifice The Sacred a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Sacrifice The Sacred, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Have you signed with an agent or manager? Why or why not?

We currently have a management agency as well as a booking agency that we work with. We met them both online via references and decided to work with them upon researching some of their past work, as well as the information they provided to us. We believe our handwork and dedication to our craft is what ultimately made them decide to work with us.

Sacrifice The Sacred, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

We are a progressive metalcore band and we first decided to pursue this project to add a potentially new element to existing styles of metal within this genre. We work hard to add our own twist while continuing to incorporate new aspects of metal to our music. We are most proud of the relationships we have been able to build and the music we have been able to craft and release. We have been able to play shows with some bands that we had looked up to and been able to share our music with more individuals each day.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?

In this continually changing area of the arts, the best way to support artists would be to go to shows, stream music, and purchase merch – when you can. Times are tough everywhere but the more we support each other the more we can all accomplish.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

This is an area we are constantly working on and tweaking, but the best advice we received and can pass along is to be authentic and active. Constant interaction with others on your social media pages is the best way to build an audience and build authenticity.
