We recently connected with Sacred Tea and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sacred, thanks for joining us today. How did you scale up? What were the strategies, tactics, meaningful moments, twists/turns, obstacles, mistakes along the way? The world needs to hear more realistic, actionable stories about this critical part of the business building journey. Tell us your scaling up story – bring us along so we can understand what it was like making the decisions you had, implementing the strategies/tactics etc.
I scaled by going deeper rather than wider. In the beginning, my focus was simply on holding powerful, present space for each client and allowing the work to speak for itself.
As clients experienced profound shifts, feeling lighter, clearer, and more at ease in their bodies; word-of-mouth became the foundation of my growth.
Rather than rushing to expand, I paid close attention to what was organically emerging. I refined my modalities, strengthened my boundaries, and aligned my offerings with the level of presence and integrity the work requires.
Scaling for me has meant raising the quality, clarity, and intention of what I offer, not increasing volume at the expense of depth.
As the work has matured, opportunities to share it in broader formats have naturally begun to present themselves, including private sessions, curated experiences, and future workshops.
I’ve been intentional about allowing this next phase to unfold at the right pace, ensuring that any expansion remains grounded in the same core values the practice was built on: embodied awareness, nervous system safety, and genuine transformation.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Sacred Tea, founder of The Sacred Technician, where I offer integrative, soul-centered bodywork and healing modalities that help clients release emotional weight, reconnect with their bodies, and regain clarity and ease. My work combines intuitive energy, therapeutic bodywork, and breath awareness. Each session is tailored to the individual, creating a deeply present and transformative experience.
I was drawn to this work by a desire to help people release tension and emotional heaviness in a safe, intentional way. What sets my practice apart is the depth of presence and care I bring to every session, ensuring that shifts are lasting and that clients leave feeling lighter, freer, and more aligned.
I’m most proud of the transformative experiences my clients have; the clarity, lightness, and renewed vitality that emerge. My goal is to create a space rooted in integrity, depth, and empowerment, where people feel seen, supported, and fully guided toward reclaiming their energy and joy.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
My journey of resilience has been about learning to honor my own energy and boundaries while navigating both personal and professional challenges. Early in my work, I noticed that so many people (and even I myself) carry unseen emotional weight, tension, and expectations that quietly drain vitality. I realized that to help others release and heal, I first had to navigate my own layers of heaviness and cultivate tools to stay centered, clear, and present.
There were moments when it would have been easy to overextend, take on too much, or push through exhaustion. Instead, I learned to listen deeply to my body, my intuition, and my own needs, integrating practices that nurture resilience rather than rely on willpower alone. This included developing my own healing modalities, refining my work with clients, and creating intentional structures that support both my energy and the transformative experiences I offer.
Resilience to me is about showing up fully, consistently, and with integrity, even in the face of difficulty. Every challenge has been an invitation to grow, refine, and strengthen the way I hold space…not just for myself, but for everyone who comes to me seeking support.
Through this journey, I’ve discovered that true resilience is rooted in presence, self-trust, and the courage to release what no longer serves… and that understanding has become the backbone of both my life and my work.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I’ve built my reputation largely through organic connections and the quality of the work I offer, rather than through traditional marketing. Many times, I meet people for the first time, and they already know who I am, before I even know them. They’ve heard about my work through word of mouth, community connections, or clients sharing their experiences.
For me, it’s always been about showing up fully, being present, and doing the work with integrity. When people feel genuine transformation, they naturally share it with others, and that’s how my reputation has grown, quietly, authentically, and intentionally.
In a place like Puerto Viejo, where community and relationships are central, being known for offering something truly meaningful resonates more than any promotion ever could.
