We were lucky to catch up with Sabrina Whipple recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sabrina, thanks for joining us today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
They kept it 1000% with me! My mom was always very blunt and honest with me about things! She sheltered me growing up but had she not, I wouldn’t be the woman that I am! She picked the right man to help raise me! He is also responsible for my upbringing! Thank you Ben C. Robertson RIP I love and miss you and thank you mama Janett S. Robertson I love you!

Sabrina, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Heyyy y’all!!! To the ones that don’t know me, my name is Sabrina Whipple. I go by QueenBWavin or Bre. I am 36 , unmarried with no children. I am a plus size model and I’ve been modeling for 6 years. I started modeling in 2017 for Danville Fashion Week located in Danville, VA. I was approached about modeling in the show but I was nervous and insecure because I was a big girl so I know you had to be picked. I really hadn’t seen any Plus size models that looked like me so I didn’t want to be made fun of or anything like that. When I’m at a Photoshoot or show I definitely bring a certain type of vibe and professionalism. Aside from my waves, I go with the flow and I am very acceptive to changes. I am proud of just staying consistent in this industry. Continuing to work on my craft and create new connections with others. I’ve had the chance to walk in LA Fashion Week in March 2023 and I will be walking in New York Fashion Week in September 2023. Next on my checklist is Paris and Milan. I want my followers, fans and future potential brands and companies that I’m a hard worker. I don’t take these opportunities lightly. I give my all every single time!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
It’s the supportive comments on social media. The dms I receive from men and women telling me how I inspire them to take that leap on whatever their passion is. The people I see in public that recognize me and follow me and just be happy to finally meet me face to face. It’s a dope and rewarding experience and feeling!

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I want to model full time! I feel like I can do it but it’s a struggle sometimes finding local brands that want to pay for my time and work.
