Sabrina Rowe, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The concept for NTRL by Sabs emerged from a longstanding dream of mine, spanning nearly two decades, to establish a unique beauty brand. With over 20 years of experience as a hair and makeup artist, and a lineage of hairstylists in my family, it felt as though the beauty industry was in my DNA. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of products on diverse clientele, which has allowed me to refine my vision for my brand.
As a passionate advocate for both the beauty of the ocean and sustainable living, I faced the challenge of creating luxurious products that were not only effective but also plastic-free and travel-friendly. I recognized a gap in the market for high-quality, environmentally-conscious beauty products with an emphasis on sustainable packaging.
Thus, NTRL by Sabs (pronounced “natural”) was conceived. My fondness for shampoo bars, stemming from their compatibility with my preferred protective styles, provided a solid foundation for product development. Having dabbled in cosmetic formulation through free courses, I ultimately decided to attend a formal institution to further my expertise. This education empowered me to confidently embark on the journey of launching my brand.
Overcoming developmental and testing hurdles, I eventually launched NTRL by Sabs in November 2020, amidst the unprecedented circumstances of that year. Today, the brand boasts 24 SKUs, including face & body, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and lip balm bars. All our products are handcrafted using clean, natural ingredients in small batches to ensure efficacy. Moreover, they are travel-friendly and zero waste.
The endeavor of building NTRL by Sabs has been both challenging and deeply rewarding. Driven by a genuine mission, I find immense fulfillment in my work and believe that people truly care about the environmental impact of human waste. With a long-term vision in mind, I eagerly anticipate the growth and expansion of NTRL by Sabs in the years to come.

Hello, readers! My name is Sabrina Rowe Holdsworth, and I’m the proud founder of NTRL by Sabs, a sustainable and luxurious beauty brand. I have over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry as a celebrity hair and makeup artist, and I am a third-generation hairstylist. My passion for beauty is something that runs in my family, and it has truly shaped my life’s journey.
My venture into the beauty world began with my work as an artist, where I was able to explore a wide array of projects from the salon to fashion to red carpet to tv and film all while utilizing a multitude of products on diverse clients. This experience honed my vision for what I wanted to create: a unique beauty brand focused on sustainability, luxury, and efficacy.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
When I started building my social media presence for my brand, I began by leveraging my personal social media network to get people to take notice. This helped create an initial buzz around the brand and generated some interest. From there, we carefully identified and worked with influencers and PR firms to further expand our social media presence. Additionally, we attribute much of our success on social media to the stunning still life photography by my husband, Joe Holdsworth. His incredible eye for detail and the way he captures our products on camera has really helped to showcase the beauty and essence of our brand, which has resonated with our audience.
For those just starting to build a social media presence, I would advise them to first identify their core audience and create content tailored to them. Consistency is also key, so create a clear posting schedule and stick to it. Leverage the power of hashtags, which can help you get discovered by people who are interested in your niche. Finally, engage with your audience regularly by responding to their comments and messages, and take their feedback into consideration. Building a social media presence takes time and effort, but it’s worth it in the end.

As the founder of NTRL by Sabs, I believe that our commitment to creating high-quality natural and eco-friendly personal care products has helped us build our reputation within the market. Our customers are increasingly looking for brands that prioritize sustainability and natural ingredients, so we strive to deliver on those values with every product we create. We are also committed to being transparent with our customers about our ingredients and production process. We are a small batch brand and each product is carefully crafted, so our customers know they’re getting something that is made with care and attention to detail. By prioritizing quality, sustainability, and transparency, we’ve been able to build a loyal customer base that trusts and values what we have to offer. It also doesn’t hurt that all my clients use and love what we offer!
