We recently connected with Sabrina Karim and have shared our conversation below.
Sabrina , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
As a corporate pharmacist, there are many. I talk to many patients on the phone, but the conversations where I make a difference are the ones that make me feel the best.
When just a patient says, “if it wasn’t for you”, “or god bless you” that’s what makes me feel the most content. I also had a patient tell me “tell your future husband, I said there’s no guy that will be good enough for you,” i found that kind of funny. Lol

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a corporate pharmacist, where I like to help patients over the phone, whether it’s general counseling, discussing side effects, etc.
As a content creator, I love working with different brands and creating content. It’s actually a hobby I really really enjoy. It has also become my other source of income.
As of modeling, I’m signed up with two agencies right now. One in orlando and one in Miami. When my agencies send over self tapes requested by various casting directors, I send it over whenever I can.
It sounds like a lot. And sometimes it can be overwhelming. But most importantly, I love what I do, and that’s what makes me show up everyday.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn fitting in so I could finally stand out. I had to unlearn who I was told to be just to fit in.
The backstory to this is basically some conversations I had were very different than my mindset and where I wanted to be and still want to be in life.
I realized it’s totally ok to not fit in, you’re not suppose to. The most successful people never fit in because they’re too busy creating their own path.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Never give up, and just keep going. You’ll be amazed as to how many opportunities and doors open up for you when you just keep going. Consistency is key.
