We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sabrina Jenkins. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sabrina below.
Sabrina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I want to be remembered as a woman that truly defined the meaning of “Sisterhood”
I hope my record shows that l brought women together to uplife, motivate, encourage, have a great time together, support, and fix each other’s crown when needed.
Sabrina, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I wanted to create a safe place/environment for black women to come together and create lasting bonds with one another. As we get older it becomes increasingly more difficult to have and/or maintain a social life. I’m most proud of the testimonies that l receive through out the year where my sisters(members) say to me, ‘Sabrina, l needed this!’ Women need a positive outlet and i’m the vessel that is being used to give it to them. Once a month for at least 3hrs.
My group is different because we also serve our community as well through different organizations in house and teaming up with others. Our hashtag is #morethanbrunch because we most definitely are.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My reputation was built by being very transparent with my past and the trials that l have faced.
I come from a broken home, l was once homeless, and i’m a domestic violence survivor.
Women gravitate towards people and things that they can relate too. A connection has to be there.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Pictures of our different themed brunches and of course word of mouth from present sisters (members
