We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sabrina Hill. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sabrina below.
Hi Sabrina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
My second business, Spice Witch, happened to me. I was dining at local restaurant and tried a new egg dish. It was called Turkish Eggs. If you aren’t familiar (I wasn’t), it’s a garlic greek yogurt topped with a poached egg and some Chili Oil. This dish had my heart and I had to immediately go home and learn how to make it. Alas, I learned how to make chili oil. This new obsession was shared with friends and family and evolved into a fun project then business. I now have over 10 products, ship nationally, and have many wholesale accounts.. and growing.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Sabrina is a commercial lifestyle photographer turned flavor queen. During the pandemic Sabrina turn her love of flavors into a Spice Company that infuses healthy oils with chiles and honey.
Spice Witch brings the magic in to the kitchen for home chefs new or experienced. We are so happy to have grown in our first year of business with may retail accounts and shipping all over the country. We are excited to continue to grow and offer more products next year.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
There have been many decisions that I’ve had to pivot with. When starting a new business everything is new, so there is a lot of trial and error.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn that things can happen quickly. I’ve learned that it’s best to take your time and do it correctly the first time.
