Sabrina, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Well, to be honest it was an easy choice for me. I got fired from my 9-5 , was unable to find another job, and after having a discussion with a friend, I started out on fiver.
While working with my clients, they wanted to have a more personal work experience with me, so they asked if I had my own business, and the journey started from there. They helped me get a few things into place, taught me the art of running a freelance business through the resources thay had or could get their hands on, recommended my services to a few friends, and I was able to bring the idea to life.
I never really saw myself as a business owner or a boss I just wanted to be able to financially cover my debts as well be able to finance my education. Looking back, it’s the best decision I have made.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I started out as a virtual assistant doing the basic secretarial tasks. I quickly realized that I had a love for creative designs and the uniqueness of Typography. I made an effort to invest in my passion and niched down to Branding, offering business owners all they needed to have a successful brand.
I identify myself as a Digital Media Strategist and Brand designer. I help Creative Entrepreneurs build a profitable businesses through luxury visual storytelling and creative strategies.
I do Websites, Social Media Management, Logo Design, Craft Brand Strategies, and so much more. I help Entrepreneurs Seize their Digital Influence no matter the industry they are in. I believe what sets me apart from others is that I have once been where these business owners are today, and I truly understand how hard it is to stand out, so my sole goal is to help them achieve their full potential.
I am most proud of the people I have been able to help on their journey, the ones I have had the opportunity of teaching, and to see the success that they have accomplished once we have finished their projects. I am proud when I see my clients overcome their business challenges and that in itself, is success to me.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I believe that good customer service helps but not only that, allowing them to know that they matter, even after a project is completed check up on your client to see if they are okay and managing well. it’s all about connecting with them on an emotional level. Be honest and responsible for your actions this helps to build character and trust.
I ensure that even after I’m done with clients I email or text to see how life is going, many of my clients and I have become friends, we bounce ideas off each other share our wins and losses and learn from each other. with this relationship my clients feel free to recommend me to anyone as they can vouch for my honesty, and loyalty and that I will do my utmost best to care for that new client(friend).
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective way to me is by sharing your story. Your story is the most vital aspect of any brand, especially if your Target Audience can relate to it. When your audience knows who you are and why you do what you do, it builds loyalty and trust. The other aspect of client growth is knowing what they need and giving them that.
Don’t always be about selling. If you can share a few tips and even help out wherever you can, that builds loyalty and trust. You will be surprised to see how much growth you gain by helping others.
