We recently connected with Ryan Robbins and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Ryan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I am trying to build something that my family can stand beside me on as well as get carried down for hopefully generations. I want my legacy to be that I created positive change in this world. That I left this place better than when I came into it. Create a message/action that will save so many lives. I want to be known for being true, honest, genuine, and caring. I love creating business and making them successful but my ultimate legacy I want to be known for is The Reset Foundation.
Money is only a tool not a status, it’s how you treat others when no one is looking that matters in life…

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My Name is Ryan Robbins and I am from a very small town in the mountains of Colorado called Cripple Creek. I always felt I was meant for something bigger than our small town. I graduated a year early and ran as fast as I could to go experience what life had to offer. Be careful what you wish for! I have lived all over the United States, I have had over 40 addresses in my adult life. My working career has been from working t a carwash to a sergeant at a prison to an entrepreneur.
I wanted to try and experience all I could! As they say I am a jack of all trades. I believe there is nothing you can’t do in life. It is ourselves that holds ourselves back whether if it’s letting others sway us or self doubt.
I have been successful at any career field I chose to be. Always promoted faster than most and I believe that is because I believe in doing everything 100%. I do not believe in cutting corners in life. I have always been the type that does what they say they are going to do and I will attempt to be the best at it. I believe in being the change you want to see.
I found Beach Blast rentals while driving for various delivery apps. It was a failing business which with its location I couldn’t understand why. When I did my research I saw it was more of a hobby to existing owner. I spoke with my family and we decided to go in on it and make it a sustainable business. We are now 3 years in and going strong!
I also founded The Reset Foundation. It was started from a story from a passenger when I ubered. I attempted to raise money for their home to be fixed and realized I couldn’t without a 501(c), so I raised the money to create the foundation. When I started it I sat and thought “what is needed in society?”, that is when I came up with The Reset Foundation. The foundation is my passion and is something that NEEDS to exist. All I do goes towards creating the foundation into existence. You can learn more at www.TheResetFoundation.Life

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Being Human! I have learned through all my experiences that just being real, genuine, and actually care about the customers/Staff will make doing business so much easier. The more you give the more you get! Took me awhile to understand that statement.
I have learned with minimal effort to show you care, can create an experience customers seldom see anymore. Customer Service is a dying art and it is one that needs to be reestablished.
I create The Reset Foundation to create the time and resources for anyone in the most crucial moments in life, and that is unfortunately is when tragedy strikes. Part of all earnings at Beach Blast Rentals goes towards this mission which also creates the customers to care and hopefully want create change and want to continue their support!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Before I bought Beach Blast Rentals and founded The Reset Foundation, I was climbing back out of a hole mentally, emotionally, and physically. I took a chance on a Real Estate Business idea and it fell through and I lost everything! I was on Facebook begging for money to buy a travel trailer so I could have a roof over my head. I had to swallow all my pride and I did what I had to do to survive.
I began driving for Uber, Lyft, Doordash, and whatever else I could do to pay the bills. I refused to give up and I knew I needed to build my own empire. So I ate minimally, cut down on all expenses I had and I put “blinders” on. I kept saving and working until I found Beach Blast Rentals and it was a diamond in the rough. Old owner had the business more as a hobby than a sustained business. My family decided we could turn it around in Jan. 2020. COVID shutdown hits a month and a half later. I stayed positive and knew that failing was not an option. When we reopened we set sales records that the business had never seen before. We have created a reputation like no one else on the beach. We strive for excellence and giving customers experiences they will not get anywhere else.
Perseverance and self confidence are the most crucial attributes you must possess to be an entrepreneur!
