We recently connected with Ryan Riek and have shared our conversation below.
Ryan , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Each day allows us to try again. Having that opportunity everyday, allows us to then create a consistent system for ourselves. Whether that be in Health, Financial, Relationship, Education, Parenting, etc. “CONSISTENCY” on a daily basis will get you to your result that you are looking for.

Ryan , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I own and Operate a Diamond & Jewelry Business that has been serving Arizona, The Valley for 30 yeARS. The Name of the Business is “Jewelry Replacement Source”
The previous owners had done a wonderful job operating more of the insurance claim side of the Jewelry Industry. Clients that may have lost, had stolen, or have damaged jewelry? Could be bring it to Jewlery Replacement Source, we would facilitate their claim, create a sale. Then provide them with new piece of Jewelry. Like New and like nothing ever happened. And their lovely/sentimental piece was back in their life!
Over the years, the store started to behave more like a Diamond & Jewelry Store. The business slightly shifted into more of a retail style operation, but still providing clients with a personal feel.
I bought the business from them 14 years ago, they were family business friends, they wanted to retire. I was young enough and dumb enough, but aIl knew is that I could bring a youthful feel to the neighborhood, provide great service to industry and to Phoenix. I knew i could share a little more in depth knowledge about the Industry, create a stress free environment, and provide deals for less. Most importantly create long lasting relationships that would continue to help my business grow.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Great questions, and I feel this is constant. I think a good example coming from an industry perspective is product. Product can be sold and influenced in many ways. In the Diamond & Jewelry Industry, we see a lot new ways Jewelry can be created with different resources. Over the years I have organically made these pivots based off consumer consumption, trends, and overall market changes. Take for example Fashion, that is always changing, your business should usually be changing through time.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I feel this advice has never changed in over a decade. Here is another consistency conversation. I think its pretty simple, one post a day. Follow and learn from some of these so called “Social Media Experts” there is a lot of good content out there that is helpful, some that is also very misleading. That however, is also part of the journey. Getting acclimated with your own “Business System”
When i started out, I jumped into all the social media platforms. I did my best to attach me name and business to the internet: My own website, Facebook, Google Maps, Yelp, Podium, etc. I stuck with as many platforms as I could. You can exchange content between platforms, so I continued to drive daily messages to my neighborhood as much as I could. Same method, and it still grows at a slow to moderate pace.
