Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ryan Poole. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Ryan, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I strive to tell your story through my photography, I feel like every life event or standard photoshoot has a story to tell and it’s always an honor whenever I’m selected to tell someone’s story.
I started Taylor Multimedia in 2020 and my first job was a birthday photoshoot for a little girl turning 3-years old. I remember feeling nervous and excited at the same time because I know I wanted it to be perfect. The photoshoot lasted roughly an hour and the parents were so excited when they got their pictures back. From that first experience, I knew I wanted to tell people’s stories and help document important life events/milestones in people’s lives through photography.

Ryan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
There was a short stint where my family and I lived in Newport News, Va. At the time I was the video editor for numerous projects at Fort Eustis, Va., and got into filming minor league football games with the help of my wife suggesting I go into business for myself At that time, I called my freelance business Taylor Media Solutions. I moved back to Maryland in 2014 and I only focused on my multimedia full-time job at the time, taking a break from any outside video work. Fast forward to 2020, I regained the urge to do freelance work, and again with the help of my wife I created Taylor Multimedia, but this time I mainly wanted to focus on photography instead of video.
Taylor Multimedia is a photography business specializing in capturing special moments for our clients through photography. We specialize in event photography or photoshoots. What sets Taylor Multimedia apart from others is we give clients all photos we take. I don’t believe in telling a client to choose a set number of photos that document key moments of the event.
One of the many highlights that I am most proud of is the rapport I’ve built with clients. It means so much to me when I end up having repeat clients who contact me for future events. I am proud of these moments because it tells me that they were satisfied with our initial experience.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
As the saying goes, “You look good, you feel good.” And with that said, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative to me is being reassured that the clients are satisfied with the end product when it comes to their photos.
It’s rewarding to me because someone is paying me, therefore trusting me and my photography/editing skills to further bring out the beauty they have when they hire me for an event.
When it comes to an event like a wedding, birthday, photoshoot, etc. clients are already coming in their best outfits, make-up, and so forth. So it’s my job to further reassure them how good they look through my photography.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I keep in touch with clients in various ways. They can contact me through my website (www.taylor-multimedia.com), my direct email, or even through text and phone calls.
My methods of fostering brand loyalty are simple. One reason is that I tell my clients upfront, prior to hiring me that they get all photos I shoot and edit. For example, If we do a one-hour photoshoot, they will receive one hour’s worth of photos.
Another reason is that I show professionalism and great customer service. If an event starts at 12, I’m arriving an hour to 45 minutes early to make sure everything looks great and to put the client’s mind at ease that I am ready before they arrive. I’m very responsive whenever a potential client reaches out to me, and I let the client know that they matter by exemplifying respect and giving them a deadline of when they can expect photos.
