Hi Ryan, thanks for joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.

Other than moving from Venezuela to Miami at the age of 20, the biggest risk I’ve taken was leaving my previous workplace to become a business owner. I was working at a lash studio, and while I was content and earning good money, I felt torn—I was happy but not fully satisfied. Over time, I began to feel that the company I worked for wasn’t meeting the promises they had made. I constantly had to advocate for myself, and there was little effort on their part to provide the support I needed to grow.

I kept asking myself, ‘What if I started my own business?’ But fear held me back for a while. Finally, in November 2024, I decided to take the leap and rent my own salon suite in the heart of Miami, near Edgewater, Wynwood, Downtown, and Brickell.

It’s been the best and most rewarding risk I’ve ever taken. Even though it’s only been a couple of months, I’m incredibly happy with the results. Everything has turned out better than I could have imagined, and I’m excited to continue growing in this new chapter of my life.

My name is Ryan, and I specialize in enhancing natural beauty through a variety of services, including powder brows, eyelash extensions, eyelash lifts and tints, brow lamination, nano strokes, nano combo brows and brow shaping. I’ve always been drawn to the beauty industry because it combines artistry, connection, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on someone’s confidence.

My journey began with a passion for creativity and self-expression, which evolved into a career where I could help others feel their best. I started by mastering the art of lashes and brows while working at a studio, but I eventually decided to take a leap of faith and open my own salon suite in the heart of Miami. This decision was driven by a desire to create a space where clients feel valued, comfortable, and truly cared for.

What sets me apart is my dedication to personalized care. Each session is not just about achieving stunning results—it’s about understanding my clients’ unique needs and creating an experience that feels as transformative emotionally as it does physically. Many clients have described their appointments with me as ‘free therapy sessions,’ and I take pride in fostering that kind of connection.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

A lesson I had to unlearn was the idea that success would happen quickly and without struggle. Early on, I had this belief that everything should fall into place right away. But after facing personal challenges, like addiction, and having to rebuild my life from scratch, I realized that true success is about persistence and patience. It’s not about rushing to the finish line, it’s about embracing the process and understanding that steady growth leads to lasting success.
