Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rxcch . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Rxcch thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
Learning a new craft is always frightening at first. When i started learning how to play the piano, it was more like i just needed to finally start, What i mean here is, i always heard music and wanted to know what exactly was going on to create this sound. . I attended a piano recital and from there i wanted to start learning how the instrument works. Learning the music theory was really natural and it made sense once i learned how to relate it to the what i was hearing in the music.
Learning the craft of music production was a little more tricky than studying piano.
I do not think there is anything i could have done to have sped up my learning. I think maybe if i started earlier it may have been easier as life is different before adulthood , however i strongly believe everything has happened as it should have. Each experience was a prerequisite for the next. I think to have a skill of being able to listen and respectfully consider another way of doing something has helped me progress.
I feel being able to adapt quickly is important in the music industry. Things are frequently changing and you have to be ready to see how the next thing works.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Rxcch, which stands for “Rach.” I am a musician who grew up in a very musical family full of singers and instrumentalists, primarily from the church. This early exposure to music introduced me to genres such as Gospel and Jazz. With music constantly playing throughout the house, I became curious about the sounds I was hearing, which led me to pick up an instrument. I was particularly drawn to the piano, as it was the instrument I focused on the most while listening to songs.
I attended York University, where I earned a Fine Arts Degree with a focus on music, specifically studying Classical and Jazz Piano. During my final year, I started collaborating with music producers I met through Instagram by posting video clips of myself playing popular R&B and Hip Hop songs on the piano. Through a friend and my brother, I was introduced to my first DAW, Logic Pro X, which allowed me to experiment with chord progressions and melodies, sparking my interest in creating beats and instrumentals.
After graduating from York University, I began networking with musicians in Toronto. This eventually led me to attend the 2019 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. There, I met many instrumentalists and producers I admired, which inspired me to seriously pursue a career as a musician and deepened my interest in music production. I later attended my first music production even , BEATCAVE 4 in Toronto Ontario, where i connected with more musicians which led to collaborations. Later in 2023 I participated in the Canadian Music Week , Women in Urban Music – Round Table Series 4.0 , where i shared my journey and past projects with others.
I’m most proud of the community I’ve built through the music I’ve shared and how it has impacted others. It’s such an honor to have connected and worked with producers and musicians who inspired me from the beginning, even back when I was just listening to music in my car and discovering.
I hope my journey inspires anyone open to trying something different. For those willing to think outside the box and embrace the idea that the world is theirs to explore.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I grew my social media presence naturally. It all began with a personal account, where I shared moments with friends. My desire to share the music I loved playing on my instrument led me to start recording and posting videos. Through this i connected with musicians around the world and it was just amazing ! to talk about music with people in other places apart from my own country. When i began producing , Sharing my creations on social media truly opened a plethora of doors, and things just naturally grew to where they are today.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
A few videos I really enjoy are from YouTube channels such as
