We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ruthie Moore a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Ruthie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What was your school or training experience like? Share an anecdote or two that you feel illustrate important aspects or the overall nature of your schooling/training experience.

My initial training began while working as a Behavioral Specialist, working with people with disabilities for 12 years, earning her Bachelor’s in Behavioral Sciences, from Utah Valley University with a focal point of Positive Psychology . Later earning my Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling with an added certification in Drug and Alcohol treatment from Bowie State University.

Interning with Pascal Family Services in Severna Park and with the Severe and Persistent Mentally ill at their Lanham locations.

My studies paired with the building of my Spiritual Practice , Empathic Healing Center became a place for individuals needing an open Non-binary guide to healing through the body mind and soul- using therapeutic and spiritual tools. I dedicated my studies to integrating Mental & Spiritual Health through use of Chakra Balancing, a historical guide to spiritual cleansing.

This to help the need of those I found while undergoing therapeutic activities and learning through my personal experiences and those of my clients.

Ruthie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I became a Spiritual Healer and Therapist (MA LGPC), my’ path lead me to seek out individuals in need of healing love and spirituality.

My education developed a discovery of REBT/DBT in Spirituality. From a young age I discovered I had spiritual gifts and had many experiences with Spirits, Energy and Auras.

After harnessing these gifts through spiritual research , certifications with Chakra Balancing and Mental Health Education with my own Intuitive Practice, I found tools to use that brought healing and comfort to the body while healing the spirit for me and my beautiful wonderful clients of Empathic Healing Center and for those through my practicum with Pascal Youth and Family Services.

These practices became the harmonious language of the spirit to create a spiritual community in the mind and heart.

Shortly after becoming a Certified Chakra Healer I organized and obtained my business license to start my practice, Empathic Healing Center, where I see clients and perform Energy Work, Chakra Balancing, Channeling & Medium work & Spiritual Mentor for over 6 years.

The spiritual guidance and mentorship became a major focus of the practice helping each individual develop their own spiritual beliefs and healing journey within their own soul and mind.

In most cases in dealing with individuals that suffered with symptoms of depression, anxiety, suicide, body dysmorphia, PTSD , PCOS, chronic migraines, pain, discomforts.

Also serving individuals looking for a spiritual connection with their maker without the fundamental organization of a religion but pairing religious qualities beliefs and practices fitting and aligning with their own personal values, beliefs and soul.

My most proud accomplishment is the publication of my own book a Self Help Memior and Non Binary approach to the Journey of the Soul- Called See Life Through your Soul – Eyes Wide Shut

And my publication of my Children’s Chakra Series – for Chakra Education and development.

Im happiest to compile spiritual mental treatment and education for all individuals and families. I am so passionate to help us create a language of spiritual mental awareness for our whole mind body health.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?

100 , 1,000 % yes. Yes yes- I wouldn’t change any trial, adversity or challenge. I feel they all played their independent roles towards my own personal goals success and healing.

I have been so honored to share healing spaces and holding the hearts of those who were courageous enough to share that beautiful vulnerable space of a therapeutic journey with me.

I am proud of every moment. I am of course not perfect and have not had all answers or the best approach for every single person. With that said I did my best and hope that my genuine desire to not harm while also admitting and acknowledging my weaknesses was recieved . Thank you for all who shared space with me during your trials or path of self discovery. It has been an honor.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

While first opening Empathic Healing Center I was a single mother of 2 children under 3 . I had physical angels of two women that watched my children for me while starting and growing the business. What a blessing they were.

During this time I started my Masters Program at Bowie State University studying working on my Conceptual Manuscript, and began Interning with Pascal Youth and Family Services.

My manuscript was focused on postive psychology— the how of happiness as well as chakra research the history and pairing this with color therapy as well as other therapeutic healing methods like — frequencies, music, healing sounds, aromatherapy.

It was a busy difficult mountain I created for myself but had full faith in its development and healing.

A journey I will never forget.

My kids were on WIC and we were struggling greatly- my clients came and Empathic Healing Center was a blessing to me and them.

Forever grateful for the spiritual gifts I never knew what to do with until the beautiful open souls, my clients came and received them with open arms.
