We recently connected with Ruthie Fonseca and have shared our conversation below.
Ruthie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
The company is named after my dad. He passed away 5 years ago from Pancreatic Cancer and his name was Dr. Julio A. Fonseca. My dad was my best friend, he even called me his soul mate. Losing him was very hard for me and when it came time to naming the business I knew I wanted to honor him in some way. Growing up he used to joke that I was going to retire him some day. I didn’t get to do that, but I like to think now he will retire me one day.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hey, I’m Ruthie, luxury and destination wedding content creator. I’m a storyteller with my IPhone, capturing the magic of love in weddings. More than just wedding day content, I create lasting memories that celebrate the enduring power of love.
I have had the privilege of immersing myself in the enchanting world of weddings for over 15 years. My journey began as a wedding planner in the bustling streets of NYC, specializing in curating unforgettable luxury South Asian weddings for over 7 years. Following my passion, I ventured to Puerto Rico where I pioneered the creation of the only wedding blog on the island, igniting inspiration and love stories.
However, life’s unforeseen challenges led me to Orlando, where I embarked on a new chapter as the General Manager of one of the city’s premier bridal salons. Through each chapter, I have honed my expertise and cultivated a profound understanding of the intricacies of wedding planning.
My diverse experiences are what make me a unique content creator. I possess an innate sense of timing, seamlessly blending into the background to ensure the spotlight remains on the couple. I thrive on collaboration, recognizing the significance of teamwork in bringing dreams to life.
Above all, I have mastered the art of capturing the essence of each bride’s vision with a creative eye. My journey is a testament to my unwavering commitment to excellence and my relentless pursuit of crafting magical moments that last a lifetime.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the end result is always the most rewarding, just seeing all the hard work come together and see how people respond to it, there is no greater feeling. When doing content for weddings, I am constantly looking for ways I can step outside the box, and be different. The most special part of it is that most of the time I don’t know what the memories I am capturing will mean to a couple until they see it. Hearing from them afterwards, them saying hiring me was the best decision they made is the most rewarding part of it all!

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Hands down social media. Currently I would say 90% of my clients find me through Instagram and TikTok and the other 10% are vendor and client referral. I currently don’t do any marketing, not even IG ads, and I am already booking clients for December 2025. It’s important to not only show up by posting, but by engaging with others content, interacting in the comments and being active in your stories. Clients want to feel like they know you, and social media is the best way to show your personality in real time.
